'Supernatural': Wooing me through song?

First, I was forwarded the "Wanted Dead or Alive" clip from last season’s Supernatural finale. Now, I just received a link to the surprise at the end of last week’s episode: Jensen Ackles lip-synching "Eye of the Tiger."

One more, boys, and you got me. In the meantime, I’ll be adding this performance to our list of favorite musical TV moments.

There was one other musical moment from the series (naturally, Dean singing again). For the life of me I can’t remember the episode, but it was after Jo played a song on the jukebox in season two. He sneered at the song choice, then later cut to him in the car singing it. Help me out folks! Let’s get Mandi hooked!

    Aha!

    Dean singing REO Speedwagon

That was hilarious — I know I watched it a few times on Thursday night. I love how you can hear the crew and Jared laughing at him.

Just add this little song and dance number to the reasons why I love Supernatural.

He just got about 10 times hotter and moved up a few notches on my “List.” One more performance like that and he’ll break the top 5. :)

This episode was funny! Loved the ‘blooper’ at the end. I may have to break up with CSI to watch this show ‘live’.

LOVE IT! I picked up Supernatural this summer, and it has not disappointed. Even if it did, the boys are HOT! I get distracted by that every once and a while.

This was fantastic. What a way to end an episode and Jensen has some hot moves.

Oh love those musical moments. This was adorable and he’s got some moves. :D There is another one from Season 1 where he sings a Blue Oyster Cult song at the top of his lungs, to add to the REO Speedwagon from Season 2. Dead or Alive was great because Sam finally got in on the action. What’s awesome is Jensen gave Dean a bad singing voice, because he just thinks Dean’s the sort of guy who would sing badly, even though Jensen himself has a good voice.

“Hell House” is the Season One episode with Dean belting out Blue Oyster Cult’s “Fire Of Unknown Origin.” “Everybody Loves A Clown” features Sam and Dean stuck in a minivan that plays Captain and Tenille’s “Do That To Me One More Time,” and “Simon Said” is Dean singing REO Speedwagon’s “I Can’t Fight This Feelin’ Anymore.”
Not to mention Dean hums Metallica in “Phantom Traveler” and the Metallicar (The Impala) has it’s own song, AC/DC’s “Back In Black.” Also, the end-of-season episode recaps are always done to “Carry On My Wayward Son” by Kansas.

C’mon, join the darkside, you know you love it.

Ahh Supernatural…you make me fall in love with you more and more everyday. Especially because you employ the two most awesome stars ever, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. Man do those two provide THE BEST gag reels each season – and moments like this!

Loved it! This season of Supernatural has been a winner so far. My question is: Are we going to get a Jared Padalecki outtake this year, too? popculturecurmudgeon.blogspot.com

Wouldn’t everyone agree that Jared & Jensen plus the Metallicar would make a fine cover for EW?
