In case you missed it earlier in the week, Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who claims he has never submitted to a spray tan (pshaw!), stopped by EW.com to deep-dish about season 7. Two more Maks videos, on a fictional web channel I like to call Chmerkovision, are embedded after the jump.
Who will win? Maks picks his season 7 faves, reminisces about Cloris, and totally calls me out on not having enough fringe in my office.

PopWatchers, are you happy with all the newfangled updates to DWTS, or do you miss the original-recipe format of seasons past? Honestly, if Lance and Lacey use the word "edgy" one more time, I may need to mix up a spray-tan milkshake and just call it a life.

Yay! DWTS Talk is back. The new dances left me sort of cold; like a Cloris Leachman Cha-Cha. The jitterbug seemed a little “easy” compared to the other dances that have been performed on the show although they were the two of the most entertaining dances of the night.
I really wish I didn’t find Maks so sexy. Because he KNOWS he is sexy.
I prefer people who are sexy but don’t think they are sexy.
But I can’t help it. Sexy Maks is very sexy.
Go back to the old show. I want the ballroom not the disco!
I don’t know what it is, but I am getting really bored with this show. I miss Joey Fatone, Apolo, Mel B, Drew, Laila. Warren Sapp is the only one who brings sparkle (personality and talent) to this season’s show. Brooke will win though.

(As for the new dances, I get what he’s saying, but enjoyed them anyway. Not that I’m watching the show without him, of course. Well, maybe until Cloris leaves.)
Annie,What I want is MORE of your wonderful critiques with all their flourishes AND heretical smashes of the DWTS ambiance PLUS all the videos that can address the season’s unique concerns. Love anything that gets Maks’ opinion out — and nothing else gives him that venue. The show is going in the absolutely WRONG DIRECTION to bring on non-ballroom — they could have gone into more ballroom instead. This show should camp up its schmaltz and drop all the teen appeal it’s been creeping in on such big feet. But no one really expects TV to get better, do we? It’s a wasteland by design and now I’ll not even have DWTS to try to glean some entertainment crumbs from.
