Ha! Loved that movie. (Shot in Toronto subbing for Chicago)
The red-headed kid (Anthony Rapp) went on to star as Mark Cohen in Rent on Broadway and in the movie.
You made my day!
“But I dont have any cash!”
“Then I don’t have a weiner!”
And feel free to check out my ode to Adventures in Babysitting on my blog.

I haven’t seen that movie in years – although I have performed at FitzGerald’s in Berwyn, IL (which was the blues club in the movie).
I LOVED this movie when I was a teenager. It came with me every time I babysat.
I love this movie. Growing up the opening scene with her getting ready was my favorite part and I was so offended when I heard the scene was redone for Crossroads.
“Oh and its’ so HARD, babysittin these guys” ha ha ha ha ha- love the blues club scene
This movie helped develop my MASSIVE crush on Elisabeth Shue. And Bradley Whitford’s license plate said “Toocool” if I’m not mistaken. Too cool, indeed.
“That ain’t no kitten, lady. That’s a jumbo sized sewer rat!”
When my little brother first saw that movie, he asked my mom what f— meant and all she would tell him was that it was a bad word. From that point on, whenever that scene came on my brother would say, “Don’t bad word with the babysitter!”
“Where’s the Playboy?!”
