don’t get me started on two and half men…i was forced to watch, and it’s gotten so bad that even my husband, who loves it, is giving up
I snuck out the window during my second date with Fringe. And Heroes? Well, I’ll stick it out, I can remember the good times, but go talk to joopiter–he/she put it best. And, Life on Mars? Well, sorry, but I like your British cousin better. I know, it’s hurtful, but your characters aren’t as raw; you’re just too pretty. Then there’s Grey’s Anatomy–I almost didn’t make it to last week’s date, but I’m glad I did. I finally saw why I loved you. Let’s just take it one week at a time, for now, okay?
It’s not as if you *have* to break up with any of them anyway. There’s always the “booty call” of season dvds!
Dear Kath and Kim, er just kath,
I liked you Molly Shannon, I really did. But this just isn’t working for me. Selma Blair is bringing you down. No, don’t throw a tantrum. Put on some proper pants and act like an adult.
Dear America’s Next Top Model,
I stuck with you through 10 seasons of craziness, I really enjoyed our time together, but after Alpha Jay, Beta Jay, Tyratron, and the Snow White thing, I’m not sure I can do this anymore. Mrs. Jay, I hope we can still be friends.
Dear Fringe,
Clearly, this was a rebound thing for both of us, go ahead and lose my number.
House. Hugh Laurie is still brilliant, but the show is too repetitive now, and I still miss the first group of residents.
Dear Knight Rider,
I thought maybe we could re-kindle to teenage romance we once had. Its me not you. I seemed to have grown up and well…
Gave up Dirty Sexy Money & Numb3rs (still like it, not enough time, I’ll catch up on DVDs). Might give up The Big Bang Theory– hilarious, but not must-watch.
Still hanging on to Heroes (I don’t find it hard to follow at all…) and Fringe (the third episode sucked, yes. but the fourth was riveting.)
I’m cheating on “Family Guy” with “True Blood.” I really like that show. I’m in the slow process of breaking up with “CSI.”
I still mourn the forced break-up with “Gilmore Girls.”
Dear Heroes,
I’m trying really hard to stay interested, but you’re making it so hard. I’ve put off watching the last 2 episodes and tried to pysch myself up, but I just can’t do it. I think it’s time we went our separate ways. Maybe in the future, we can hook up every once and awhile. I’m sorry Sylar (you were the only good thing about this season).
Dropped Fringe, The Mentalist and The Ex-List. Just couldn’t get into them. I’m continuing to give Heroes a chance. Thank God for owning 2 Tivo’s to cover Gossip Girl, DWTS, HIMYM, Heroes and Prison Break on Monday’s. I have a feeling I won’t watch Prison Break til this summer, but it is the last season and looks so much better then season3.
I offically broke up with Law & Order: SVU this season. Haven’t watched a single episode since the season premiere. I also had a two-night stand with Life on Mars, but that’s over with. My Own Worst Enemy was just painful to get through once.
(On the other hand, Grey’s Anatomy has gotten better
What hasn’t disappointed this year? Well, that’s easy: Big Bang. Only show I watch that has not let me down. Shows that have let me down: Chuck, HIMYM, Earl, DSM, Pushing Daisies, they have all suffered big comedy dropoffs, especially Mother, which hasn’t been funny in the least, although I am now two episodes behind. Even Life has lost some zing. As for new shows: Fringe is a snore-bore, and the second episode of Life on Mars (first original ep) was totally boring. The only new show that has been mildly entertaining has been My Own Worst Enemy. It’s got a terribly stupid premise, but they at least put on an entertaining show.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. Heroes is so stupid that I completely forgot it’s on. The first ep was as bad, if not worse, than any ep last season, and every time I give it five minutets it’s even dumber than the week before.
So aside from Big Bang, I’m watching pretty much nothing right now.
Grey’s Anatomy. Hasn’t been the same since Burke left. Now all we’re left with is annoying Izzy, extremely whiny Meredith, an unrealistic and stupid love relationship between Callie and Hahn, Christina hardly has a storyline, George is not exciting and neither is Alex, McSteamy and McDreamy are just duds! I was almost pulled back in after Bailey’s drama with her husband – but it’s been put on the back burner this season.
Fringe is turning out, for me, to be like that person you go on a few dates with, have doubts, but then there’s a breakthrough moment where you realize you’re completely in love with the person. It was Walter walking around in wool socks in order to create electric shocks that made me love this show. I think it’s like a fine wine, it will get better with age and even the decidedly leaden acting of Anna Torv is improving; last night’s (10/21) episode was the best she’s handled the dialogue. I think I’m in this show for the long haul, in 4 years I’ll pull out pictures and laugh about how I ever could have doubted this romance.
EW PLEASE TV WATCH RECAP THIS SHOW!
Private Practice is boring and Terminator: Sarah Conner Chronicles can’t keep my interest. Very pleased with The Mentalist and Life and still love True Blood. I Tivo Fringe every week and watch after The Mentalist.
