&%@$! How could i neglect the 5 AMAZING actresses on “Big Love”: Jeanne Tripplehorn, Chloe Sevigny, Ginnifer Goodwin, Amanda Seyfried, and Mary Kay Place are all PHENOMENAL on a great, great show.
I know I should say who I think the most underrated actress is but I just have to mention actor Jamie Bamber who plays Lee ” Apollo” Adama on Battlestar Galactica. He is pretty awesome! I was completely blown away by his speech during Baltar’s trial at the end of season 3. And did I mention he is hot too?
Brooke Smith, AKA Erica Hahn on Grey’s Anatomy…& Sara Ramirez for that matter. They have the best storyline this season, and it’s much deserved.
Kathryn Joosten, AKA Desperate Housewives’ Mrs. McCluskey. I enjoy every scene she’s in. Honestly, I think Dana Delaney is a little underrated in her own right. Don’t believe me? Look at the bulk of her storylines this season. Kyle McClaghlan, as Orson Hodge is also fantastic. He doesn’t get credit where it’s due. He has been the most pitiful character this season.
Pushing Daisies…Let’s just go ahead and say the entire cast is underrated. Sure, Lee Pace and Kristen Chenoweth (deservingly) get their due, but Anna Friel, as Chuck is incredible. As is Chi McBride as Emerson Cod. Swoozie Kurtz is the perfect bitter to Ellen Greene’s impeccable sweet as the Chuck’s faux Aunts. It’s just perfect. Now where’s its audience??
Gods, How could I forget the amazing Mary Mcdonnell from Battlestar Galactica and Katee Sackhoff. They both deserve an EMMy? Does anyone else agree with me?
I agree with u! Katee Sackhoff from BSG is Fracking amazing ! She should be cast in a Quentin Tarantino movie! She would totally kick ass!

I think Cobie Smulders and Alyson Hannigan on HIMYM are both OVERRATED on this blog. I don’t think either of them are particularily interesting or funny on that show, especially Hannigan. And Kristen Davis annoys the crap out of me on SATC.
However, I do agree that Marg Helgenberger kicks major butt (and looks fab doing it) on CSI, and Courtney Cox-Arquette got robbed of any Emmy love when she was on Friends.

I’ve realized since probably episode 8 of Chuck last season that Yvonne is indeed a great actress. And the fact that I didn’t even know she’s Aussie til I’ve seen some interviews is also a plus since she hides her accent well on the show.
How about Allison Mack from Smallville? She has been underrated since day 1.
My comment about Michael Emerson is because I thought the article was about underrated actors not just actresses. BUT, nevertheless, he is amazing as Ben and doesn’t get near the credit he is due.
Roma Maffia of Nip/Tuck doesn’t get nearly as much recognition as an actress as she should. She’s terrific.
Eva Longoria-Parker from DH is the first to pop in my mind! For the past two seasons she has delivered the best lines and showed incredible range. I think Brooke Shields has truly turned a corner on Lipstick Jungle showing complexity and humor I’ve never seen from her previous work. I second Roma Maffia from Nip/Tuck and Kelly Rutherford from Gosssip Girl!
