I was breifly describing to my girlfriend about how much i loved american dolls when i was a kid, and decided to peak at the website…i couldnt find samantha and now i know why. i cant believe they discontiuned her. i heard it was because they had to many white dolls and needed to make more diverse dolls…and yet they replaced her with an uglier doll what bullshit. im very upset
im so sad over samantha leaving why on earth did pleasent rowland sale her company. its not fair i got samantha for my 13th birthday back in 1996 and love her to death. shes still in my teenage bedroom back home at my dads. its not right what there doing. please bring samantha back.
I kind of feel lucky that they discontinued Samantha instead one of they other dolls because I have both Samantha and Nellie (I’m glad I gave my friend Felicity instead)

And take away Nellie toooo??????? I loved Nellie I really wanted her.but when my parents were reddy to buy me a doll , they retired her!!!! Not fair!!!!!!!!!!
I am so sad about this however I still have my Samantha doll as well as Molly and Josefina. Samantha was always my favorite. I wish I could buy some more of Samantha’s stuff

I happen to own both samantha and nellie and i am very sad to see them go:(but hey, in a few years those two are gonna pay for college

I swear I was just looking into buying a Samantha for my niece a few months ago and they still had her Thank god I still have mine along with her collection… but that’s sad
This REALLY pisses me off!! I was completely obsessed with AG in the 90′s. And now, thanks to Mattel buying the Company my niece doesn’t even know who the historical dolls are. Now it’s all about getting a doll that looks like you! Total BS. And by the way, if Mattel had any clue, they would have retired Molly.
