OMG I didn’t know Beyoncé was releasing her videos today! I blogged about Britney’s “Womanizer” and think it’s her best yet, but Beyoncé does kinda shut it down with that one.
It’s so simple and so awesome. I have nothing bad to say about it. I only want to know what the glove’s about. Is she channeling Michael?
Beyonce won hands down. Bey doesn’t need a huge set, 20 people moving around her, things flying everywhere, 50 wardrobe changes, 100 different props – she can just dance and the game is over.
You go Beyonce’!!! Britney who? Beyonce’ is the real deal. Britney kind of let’s all the fancy wardrobe and sets rule that video. It’s just Beyonce’ and some girls breaking that thang down! That’s my new club song. Forwarding that video to my friends now.
This has got to be the worse single from beyonce ever, Beyonce has talent don’t get me wrong, but this is by far her worst for a first single. There is nothing hip about it. It just her dancing, her video for IF I WERE A BOy is better but still not better then britney. I am not a britney fan at all but The video from britney definately shows she is in the game to be on top again, and instead of bashing her which is better why can’t we just say they are both good in their genre.
I am definately a fan of both of these artists. I feel that this Britney’s is a far better first single and video for a new album, then both of the beyonce videos and singles she has released. Beyonce is far more capable of better material. Alsthough Beyonce is a better singer then Britney, this is just an odd direction in which Beyonce is going. i prefer the britney video, and the song much better then Beyonce. Sorry B this just isn’t cutting it.
It’s the battle of the Diva and Country Bumpkin. Although Beyonce has more talent vocally I like Britney’s song and video better. Maybe if I listen to B a couple of times will it eventually grow on me. You know B can always outperform Britney.
Oh, Slezak, your irrational hatred of all things Britney really does blind you sometimes. Of course Beyonce’s 3 minutes of dancing upstages Britney’s 8 seconds. But the videos can’t even compare, and “Single Ladies” is just an atrocious song.
TEAM BEYONCE! If I were 14 years old (Oh lawd, I’m getting old!), I would be in front of my TV trying to get all of those dance steps down! Beyonce’s got those hips moving the way only a Texas girl can!! I don’t even like clubs anymore, but I would go to one now to dance to that. Wait, the video is playing right now on MTV2–I’ve got work to do!
On another note: I’ve never been a fan of Britney, but I’m glad she’s got her stuff together now. All the best on her comeback.
EW…you guys must be on Matthew Knowles’ payroll. I’ve said that before, but I am truly starting to believe it. I mean, the second poll about Britney’s video roles assumes that we find one or all of the costume changes to be unlikeable. Anyway! Beyonce’s video just features her African booty-shakin as usual, but she does look pretty. The song sounds like a cut track from a past DC album, and I personally believe her vocals are tirelessly overrated. She is a solid vocalist, but upper echelon she is not. Britney’s video is hella more entertianing, from the colors, to the brief chorepgraphy to her pure hottness. Her vid is simply more eye-grabbing and memorable, not to mention the song is great. Britney’s single, video and album are going to be all the rage this season. Beyonce might as well assume the position…at Britney’s feet! lol
I am on Team Britney. Better video. Really captures the song. And really, given how out of shape Britney was just a year ago…her improvement back to her dancing shape is just amazing. Better song, better video. Beyonce doesn’t do it for me. Personally and singing. She tries to hard for me. Sometimes I want someone to be more real, and Beyonce just doesn’t do it. So I with Britney’s video in this case. I know Britney is not the strongest singer but I believe it a hell a lot more than I do with Beyonce.

BEYONCE!! Her video is so superior to Britney’s in so many ways. The black and white, starkness of the production is perfect. Her dancing ability is more sharp and the steps are more difficult. Britney almost looks as if she is stumbling sometimes or being led around by one of her dancing boys. Beyonce and her back-up ladies are mean, hot and groovin’! I love Beyonce’s ensemble better then Brit-Brit’s. It’s simple and radical at the same time. britney changes from one crazy outfit after another. Although I do like her as a redhead. I am not Britney-bashing, y’all. I LOVE the song and will be dancing to it have been blasting it at volume #11. Beyonce, though, just blew me away with the fierceness, edgy, extra-cool beats with strong, female, independence lyrics. The message of the song runs deeper and I cannot wait to ear the re-mixes!
If you’ve ever done any type of choreography, you notice pretty quickly that Britney’s choreography isn’t nearly as complicated as it looks. While I’m not the biggest fans of Beyonce or Britney, Beyonce always gives 1000%. Britney’s style has been the same since she debuted. She doesn’t really change. I like the video, and I’m glad she finally seems to be healthy again, but it was “Toxic” in an office. *shrugs* It was fun to watch, although I don’t need to see her naked AGAIN.
Beyonce’s choreography is great but some of it looks alittle soft-porn in that one-piece. It’s fine too, but it needed some color! It wasn’t as engaging as Britney’s where everything was moving.
well actually the ring and mechanical hand cost entirely too much for there to be an actual set which bags britney’s green screen vid. Both of their songs are lacking somewhat. Britney might have won if Beyonce hadnt doubled up on her.

I think britney is boring. That video looks like Toxic part 3. She’s already done that whole concept and its time to move on.

Well, Britt is looking good and obviously having a ton of fun and the song and vid are perfect for her. Lots of fun, not serious at all. God love’er. We need this froth in our world.
Bey has taken her songwriting to very cool new heights. Great stuff, she def knows how to push the artistic envelope and still be commercially on target. Both “ring” and “boy” are great songs, albeit totally different. Vids are just standard. She looks good tho’

There is no competition. Beyonce>>>>Britney, always!!!. I mean Britney is exciting in her own little way, but her talent will never measure up to Beyonce’s….no question. Regardless of what this poll says. EW, you got it right with the review.
Beyonce didn’t write any of those songs, actually the original version of If I were a boy it’s on Perez Hilton and is way better than Beyonce’s version, the original singer has such a raw voice.
Anyways, Beyonce’s video is boring as hell and the dancing is average, Britney’s video is entertaining as hell, they are pop artist after all, they’re suppossed to entertain and Britney succeeds at that while Beyonce fails and tries too hard.

Beyonce is the best out there period…She has the total package..and unlike Britney she can actually sing and perform at the same time…. Not only does she put on a great show and gives 100% she also does it all on 4 inch heels….That’s talent….. And beyonce’s video is pur dance….It’s simple for a reason because they want you to focus on the choreography… That’s what you call a dance video…. The Queen Bee is back and showing these girls what real talent is!
Ken, what Perez Hilton refused to post was that Bc Jean sang the DEMO. And I’d like to see you try to do any of dancing in the vid if its so average.
