On Nov. 30, MTV will air the 90-minute documentary Britney: For the Record (watch the trailer below), in which Britney Spears gets to tell her side of the story — the story being "What the hell was I thinkin’?" and, of course, the recording of her new album, Circus, due out Dec. 2, on her 27th birthday. Cameras followed Spears for three months with the purpose of capturing what it’s like for her to try to live a normal life. I know Spears asks herself that "What the hell was I thinkin’?" question, but I’m skeptical that we’ll get an answer out of her. Still, I’ll watch. Will you?P.S. Can you believe her video for "Womanizer" is premiering on 20/20 tonight?

Of course. Can’t wait. Just pray MTV Canada will air it on it’s day of airing. Sounds exciting. Gotta love all the promotion they are doing for this CD. Hope it shows in the sales. Love the song, “Womanizer”. Can’t wait to see the video. Sure it’s a promotional tour but hopefully we get a sense of the last few years from her.
NO….oh who am I kidding. yes i will.
Hell yeah….love her or hate her, she is infectious and I think we all want to see her get better and to continue to entertain us….through shocking us, but not the way she did with Federline and the craziness that ensued after that….
I love Brit, and I would watch it if I had cable…so since I do not, EW please recap it the next day for me!
Ditto on the no cable – recap please!
I second the no cable/recap comments!
Like a train wreck–how can I not watch?
BTW-something’s wrong w/your EW polls. The last two caused my IE to hang.
I’m still captivated by her, I can’t explain it!
…and who the hell doesn’t have cable?!
No, I won’t watch and neither should you. People in this country are so addicted to tabloids and celebrity gossip, and yet it’s the most useless, meaningless nonsense. Watch a news channel, or the History channel, or Animal Planet, or the Discovery channel…anything but this crap.
Much as I hate admitting it, I really want to see her do well and recover from the past few years. I’m also interested in whether or not she’ll address her bipolar disorder (if indeed that was part of the problem). If she was truly mentally ill, she could do a lot of good by speaking out about it. But since this “interview” was done by her manager, I have a feeling it’ll be pretty benign. At least, it can’t be worse than “Chaotic”!
I will unashamedly be watching this. Prior to the Matt Lauer gum-smacking trash fest, you got a fairly clear idea of who Britney was, and what the heck was going on up there. But post K-Fed, she’s positively nuts. I mean, did you see her struggle with the two lines she had to deliver at the opening of the VMAs? What happened to nude-suit & snake-slave power-performer?!
I did not enthusiastically like “Womanizer” at first. Sonically, I thought “Gimme More” was better. I wanted a club banger and got a dance track. But after downloading the HQ version off Amazon.com, and listening to it as I worked out, I realized that the sone is good. It’s catchy, fast paced, and what she needed right now. Hopefully the video is good. I’m rooting for this girl. We watched her grow up with somewhat failed mentors around her and then she fell into a bad crowd. Hopefully in the interview she is really honest about what happened, but if she is not, I’ll understand. I am just looking forward to a new album. Blackout was underrated and not properly promoted. They should really consider putting good Blackout tracks as hidden bonus tracks on Circus. Heaven on Earth, Radar, Why Should I Be Sad, were all good songs. If Beyonce can take an old DC song off their 3rd album and put it on her debut album (Dangerously In Love) a year later, and it be a hit, so can Britney.
62% of respondents say they’re going to watch this? For God’s sake, why? Hahaha. You people truly are idiots. (I won’t even get into the hilarity of the notion of watching anything that’s on the pathetic and irrelevant MTV.)
i’ll watch but there’s no way we’ll get a REAL answer, hello this was produced by her manager just in time to hype up her album. Even in the clip, Britney just looks sad beyond repair, like a lost little girl.
Although I wish britney nothing but the best she still looks pretty blank in this clip. I won’t watch only because britney has never been my cup of tea but I’m sure plenty of people will.
Funny how we are stupid but you are posting here. If Britney or MTV serves no interest to you, then why read posts about her? For you to click on the ling entitled “Britney: For the record”: Will you watch” and then care enough to comment says something. And if you are an XTINA “Stan” give it up bb. “Keeps Getting Better” is some grilled hot ham and cheese mess of a fake Goldfrapp song. Don’t be mad WOMANIZAH! is #1.
To the person below, why even bring up Christina Aguilera? Christina is stable, isn’t crazy, is married, and has a child that shes every day and is considered to have the most powerful voice in the industry. I’ll take that over someone who is labeled as white trash any day. Anyways, people are going to only watch because they know shes a tabloid star. Her life is a rollercoaster and people want to see how the ride will end.
I will be watching and recording this. I have been a Britney Spear’s fan forever and I stuck by her through the craziness. I am so excited that she is back!!!!!!! I can’t wait for the new album and her video for womanizer is amazing!! Go Britney! Everyone loves you!!!
I’m definitely going to watch this show. I’d like to know what has happened with Britney Spears personally and emotionally the past 2 years. I’d like to know what really happened with that disastrous 2007 VMA awards performance. I like that her manager Larry Rudolph is handling this documentary and not the ridiculous interview that Matt Lauer did with Britney in 2006.
I don’t see this as a train wreck at all. Hearing it from her and not someone dreaming up dumb questions make this feel more real. I’d like to know how she gets along with her kids. And does she still get along with ex Kevin Federline. This will really help her new album’s sales. Her Womanizer song is a fun and catchy record. I hope that the songs that she wrote or co-wrote will appear on her album. And I’m sure she’s excited about touring and performing for the fans again. I’m rooting for her to have a successful album and tour and I commend her father and manager for turning her life around the past year.
I’ve never been a big Britney fan but I thought it was such a shame the way she appeared to implode. I sincerely hope that she is past whatever the hell was going on that lead to such bizarre behavior and does well for herself. Don’t think I’ll watch the show but I do wish her the best.
Ms. Bi-Polar needs to just pack up her meds and head back to the bayou.
Wouldn’t miss it for the world. Even if I have to call off work.
Yes I will! She’s dumb as a rock.
Absolutely will watch! I adore her and think she’s pretty much flawless.
Wouldn’t miss it for the world! I am all about B. I’m glad that she has finally got her life back. Proud of you B and can’t wait 2 see (For the record). Love the new video. Britney Is the real thing in the world of entertainment! No1 fan A.
im a fan i admit it ..,love the new song and video i,ll watch for sure.i guess i,m one of those people that cant let go of loving her
always. love her 4ever!! – http://www.post2share.com/lyrics/britneyspears/index.html
I remember the day Carson Daly announced the world premier of Hit me Baby One More Time it was exciting I knew right then and there she was going to be big. I realize that through this entire process she has grown and just after viewing the preview for the show its sad to see her so lonely. But WE LOVE YOU BRITNEY. And the show is already set up on my DVR!! xoxo Ashley
i love her<3
