Someone please tell me why I should care about this.
Controversial? LMAO. Oh my god! No!!!! A woman has breats!!! And she uses them to… ugh… feed her baby!!!! Achh…. help us jesus!!!! Save us from this abomination!
Why is this controversial again? I think Americans are so obsessed with the sexuality of breasts that they can’t even acknowledge them for the life-giving source that they are. You can’t see anything. I don’t understand the problem. And, for those not interested in that aspect of the Pitts’ lives, don’t buy the magazine.
I could give a rat’s a*s that she’s on the cover breastfeeding. I’m just sick of the fact that she’s on another cover, period. “Brangelina” pushes the paparazzi away with one arm and pulls them closer with the other. Who cares anymore?
Good for her for showing her babies breastfeeding, perhaps that will promote breastfeeding awareness to someone? The more people put it out there, the less inclined ignorant fools will be to clamor that it is “controversial” to show a baby eating.
The people saying they are sick of seeing Brangelina everywhere are forgetting that it’s not their fault. I am 100% sure that if they had the option of NOT being followed around by photographers all the time, getting in their faces while they’re just walking down a street or setting up long-range shots on the hills above their compound so they can zoom in on their private lives, then heck yeah, they’d take that option. But unfortunately, they ARE followed around nonstop, and people DO zoom in on their private lives at home without their knowledge or consent. By selling their own pictures, they are being proactive, and they are taking what is basically the unchecked power of the paparazzi away, and putting it back into their own hands. I say bravo. Honestly, I couldn’t care less about their movies or their lives, but in terms of their being a model for how other celebrities can take the power from the paparazzis, they’re doing a fabulous job.
Janet Jackson’s breast at the Super Bowl created more media attention than our current state of economy has. Breasts and other body parts are not why our nation is going to hell. As for selling them to the highest bidder, I’m going to put some pics on ebay and see what they bring. Kudos to their smart business sense.
I think it’s a beautiful photo & other people need to get over themselves.
H haven’t read a single complaint about the fact that the photo depicts a gorgeous Angelina breastfeeding her baby. The complainers (of which I am one) object to YET ANOTHER photo/cover/interview with Angelina revealing her most private thoughts and the intimate details of her life.
Can’t wait for next month’s Vogue, where we’ll see her daintily dropping a load while sitting on her alabaster toilet.
What about breastfeeding is so controversial? I have to say that if more babies were breastfed maybe we wouldn’t be in the trouble we are in now! Our forefathers were all breastfed and look what they built! A great country.. full of non breastfed idiotd who are ruining it and running it into the ground!! GOOD FOR HER!! Breastfeeding is natural! I agree with the comment below!! A woman has breasts and is feeding her child!! Again Good for Angelina!
My husband thinks this is one of the most beautiful pictures of her, & I agree. it’s natural, tastefully done & serene… It always strikes me funny that the people who claim to be”tired of seeing” this couple are always among the first to post comments for the very people they claim to hate, I personally don’t care for Paris Hilton & find it quite easy to avoid media about her.
I don’t feel breastfeeding a baby is in any way inherently “private.” The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children be breastfed for their first year of life. Do we really expect women to remain housebound for 12 solid months because someone might steal an incidental glance of boob? A boob doing the job it was made for?
Public breastfeeding is how people have lived for centuries. I think its much more gross to see a fully-clothed parent plop a bottle of reconstituted cow’s milk and chemicals in a baby’s mouth.
Jolie and Pitt are incredibly overexposed. However, I can’t think of two other actors I’d rather be tired of looking at, as they are doing something other than just pushing buttons or attempting to. I’ll take 500 photos of multicultural bitthday parties and humaritarian efforts over one of another celebrity’s red-carpet strutting or nightclub crawling.
It is a lovely photo, I think, and tastefully done. I agree that this is not a “private” moment — that is only true if you think breastfeeding should be hidden away. But why should it? It´s entirely natural. I am pro-cover.
