While Tina Fey’s Joe-Six-Pack-loving Sarah Palin has been garnering a Bering Sea-sized wave of attention (we’re guilty too!), I think it’s time to pledge our allegiance to last weekend’s other impeccable SNL impersonation: Andy Samberg’s "Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals" (watch it below). I’ll admit the sketch’s concept isn’t super fresh (my mom’s been talking to her animals for years), but Samberg’s impersonation of the Boston boy is SPOT ON, down to the "Say ‘hi’ to your mother for me, okay?"
I hope Samberg can find time in between producing increasingly questionable digital shorts ("Space Olympics"? Wha?) to make his Mark Wahlberg bit a semi-regular thing. I’ve even got a few suggestions. How about teaming up with New Kids on the Block bro Donnie Wahlberg for a talk show spot a la "The Barry Gibb Talk Show" (singing and dancing included, natch)? Or how about a Funky Bunch reunion? Do I smell ”Even Better Vibrations"?
That’s what’s got me hot and bothered this week. Now it’s your turn. Which movies, TV shows, music, books, websites, or games are on your Must List? Please include your email address, in case we elect to use your suggestion in the magazine. Deadline is Thursday, October 9, at 3 p.m. ET.
And be sure to check out all of our recent Must List picks.

EW, stop trying to make “natch” happen. It’s not going to happen.
I agree Amy, Andy Samberg doing Mark Walberg was classic. But Tina Fey deserves to be on the must list first. She’s made SNL a must watch show again.
HBO announced that they renewed Entourage for another, its sixth, season. Yes! Now, the only thing I can hope for is that the current season gets better.
Jason Segal as Marshall on “How I Met Your Mother.” His rant this week about how much he hated New York (“I’m like a huge monster that came out of the ocean to destory bodegas”) and loved New Jersey (the shirts with a beagle and Boston terrier at PriceCo were priceless). The show used to be all about how amazing Neil Patrick Harris and Alyson Hannigan were, but you sometimes forget how often Jason Segal comes in to steal the whole show. Brilliant.

The TV show “Life” is on my must list. Damian Lewis is wonderful, and the writing is great.

And yeah, I would LOVE to see a Wahlberg & Wahlberg appearance on SNL.
Fringe is a weekly Must in our household. After that truly awful X-Files movie, in which I wanted to believe so much but was stunningly disappointed, it’s a true delight to get my self-respecting Geek back on with a show that gives me the same delicious chills as the original X-Files TV Show.
The Big Bang Theory. I have only seen two episodes of the show but got so hooked on Sheldon, I had to go buy Season 1 yesterday. Guess I know what I am doing this weekend!
The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman – as well as the reading tour he’s doing, a chapter a city, all captured on video and posted on his website. In his words, by the time the tour is over, you’ll be able to see him read his entire book for free. And he SO good at reading it… I saw him live on day 1 in NYC…
I am so glad someone else thought the Mark Wahlberg bit was hysterical. My fiancee thought I was insane for laughing so hard tears started streaming down my face!! It had nothing to do with the skit itself- everything to do with Andy Samberg’s impersonation.
i’m glad others found it funny – i kept telling my friend, ‘as long as you don’t look at samberg, his impersonation is dead on walhberg’ – it was effin hilarious. the skit itself was pointless (although funny), but the potential for some hilarious skits are there. it’s not often actors get the various boston accents right so when they do, i’m thrilled.
I am with whoever suggested Marshall’s anti-NYC rant on How I Met Your Mother this weekend. I can’t even tell you how much I laughed.
Signed,
Another Midwesterner who doesn’t get what is so great about NYC
I can’t stop laughing at this literal interpretation of A-Ha’s “Take on Me”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HE9OQ4FnkQ
Not only does it clear up SO much confusion surrounding this landmark video, but it reminds us all of what viral video is supposed to be: intelligently ridiculous and technically impressive.
1. The return of Degrassi: The Next Generation on The N! Degrassi does what Gossip Girl, 90210, and Privileged can’t: shows compelling stories with relatable teens in a honest matter while still being incredibly entertaining.
2. 13 the musical on broadway. a powerful score, a hysterical book, and a captivating cast make this one of the best shows on broadway.
3. The View. Say what you will, but those 5 ladies are having more interesting, passionate, and smart political conversations than any of the big cable network shows out there.
The music during Life. I’m always impressed by the material they choose because it makes the show more edgy and interesting.
Yeah, Samberg’s Mark Wahlberg skit was definitely hilarious, but let’s not also forget Anne Hathaway as Julie Andrews in the hilarious Mary Poppins skit. Anne’s impression was spot on!
My must of the week: Caught Running, by Abigail Roux and Madeleine Roux. And Regina, “natch” has been around since long before EW published its first issue. I first read it in a Trixie Belden, of all things. The writer isn’t trying to make it happen; you just haven’t heard it before.

“The Wordy Shipmates” by Sarah Vowell… I heart her and her books!
Definitely Jason Segal on HIMYM. He is fantastic!
I think it’s time for The Daily Show and Colbert to get on the list- their level of quality the past few weeks has been astonishing and it will keep on going through the election.
Others worthy:
The Big Bang Theory
How I Met Your Mother (2 CBS comedies? What is this world coming to?)

Supernatural has been terrific in its 4th season. The addition of Castiel the angel and the God storyline is mysterious and menacing rather than hokey. But most of all, Jensen Ackles makes the show- his scenes with his teenage mother last week just killed.
– “The Simpsons”: The Complete 11th Season on DVD – This is the season of “Save me, Jeebus!” An iconic “Simpsons” phrase if ever I heard one.
– “Robot Chicken” Season 3 on DVD – You gotta give it up for Seth Green, truly the coolest (and most hardworking) nerd of our generation.
– “Sleeping Beauty” on Blu-Ray/DVD combo – starting this week with the Disney classic, the Mouse House will release all their major discs in this double- (and sometimes triple-) disc package, so for those at home who haven’t yet upgraded to Blu-Ray hi-def, but intend to soon, they can get both versions of the movie for the same (relatively) low price.
The documentary Religious is a fantastic and irreverant look at organized religion with the always reliable Bill Maher. God, this movie is funny.
Seeing my favorite drama queens from daytime (like Eden Riegel) and primetime (like Jessalyn Gilsig) be as funny, sexy and potty-mouthed as they want to be in the web series “Imaginary B1tches.”

“Acid Tongue” By Jenny Lewis is a sharply, written sublime rock masterpiece. Lewis channels Rondstat, the Eagles, and classic country while remaining a true iconic original!
Misha Collins in Supernatural. Only the best angel/tax-accountant ever to grace the screen and who had the best entrance of a character in recent memeory. Also, he’s really hot.
-Rachel Getting Married AND Anne Hathaway as guest host on SNL (I’m even more impressed w/her after seeing how versatile & solid of an actor she is…so great)
-Tina Fey as Sarah Palin (I don’t agree w/the unbalanced mockery of the political parties on SNL but it is undeniable to watch Tina in action…uncanny)
-The Office (I can’t get enough & neither can my friends…looking for “that’s what she said” moments has become apart of pop culture)
-Estelle & Kings of Leon
