I totally agree that the last two weeks of entourage have been totally rubbish.
I still love entourage and it is definitely my favourite show on TV. But the writing is killing the show and sometimes it’s painful to watch. It was a complete mistake to kill Alan Gray. He made a great ‘bad guy’ and could be used as such in the future.
There are so many storylines that have just been left behind – what about Rufus’ daughter. Wasn’t Turtle supposed to get with her? Run with that? No. What about Anna Faris? E was managing her? A little more development? No?
Entourage needs to go back to what made S1 and S2 great and have individual storylines for the characters. Then they should get together and party and have fun. It’s a ‘feel-good’ comedy.
(Btw – HBO/Doug Ellin – if you’re reading and entourage ends – you can make a show with Ari as the main charater. Call it MGA or something. Barbara Miller is a great character as well. Of course – Lloyd would have to have a major role!
Very dissapointing season overall. Ari was better as a supporting character but guess 3 Emmys put Piven front & forward. Which is a shame, because too much of him does not work. He was brilliant in small doses. Adrien Grenier is adorable but really can’t act. Mushroom episode was a nice divrsion, but ultimately unsatisfying, and entire season has been awful. I agree with others; it must be the departure of Larry Charles.
I think this has been a rebound season for entourage. With the exception of the Joshua Tree episode (which was horrible) this season has probably been the best since the first half of season 3. More Drama? What, you miss the stupid subplots with him & Turtle the past 2 seasons? The show is always at its best when the whole crew is together hanging out.
Great Jeremy Piven story in Page Six Magazine!

I agree, the show has taken a turn for the worse. I did like the Mickelson episode.
