Almost every line spoken in All About Eve is eminently quotable. And yet, it still works as an amazing screenplay.
Unlike screenplays like Juno, where the lines sound like a succession of embarrassing references

i’m 20 and saw ‘all about eve’ when i was 16. i really wish more people my age would watch and enjoy such classic films. sunset blvd, double indemnity, the maltese falcon, chinatown, network, and of course all about eve, are all brilliantly written films.

I wonder if movies were still written this well if people would go see them.
    Probably not. :(

I still love her ‘milkshake’ line. She did it before Daniel Day Lewis did!

I wish AMC still showed actual classic movies. I used to love getting sucked in by the old movies on AMC. Now they show movies that you would see on just about any other channel.

Favorite movie. Anyone who mentions it in a blog is my new best friend.

I love this movie, it is #3 on my all-time favorite list!

This was a delightful surprise! I LOVE this movie. It is brilliant, bitter, and fun, not an easy combination to pull off. And I’m constantly amazed by Mankiewicz’s one-two punch of A Letter to Three Wives (my favorite movie ever) and All About Eve. Still one of the great accomplishments in Hollywood history.

A fun movie with great dialogue. What ever happened to those films? Now it’s all about superheroes, special effects, or dark depressing movies.
