Ellipsian….if she bit the hand that fed yet, why was she at the Buffy reunion in California in March??? She distanced herself a little…you can’t blame her.
She’s a brilliant actress in comedy and drama and shes one of my faves. I’ll watch her in ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.

I’m totally with you on the SMG-is-not-exactly-my-girl-Buffy-front. I think SMG can act her butt off (re: The Body episode, every episode with Angel/Buffy tension where SMG cried, like that episode in Angel where he gives up his newfangled mortality to save her in the long run [Angel was/is perfect! selfless and sexy = best combination]), but either keeps chosing crappy movies to do, or is lost without Whedon’s magic touch. So, here’s hoping that her new HBO show is amazing and that she gets her dues, finally!

I love sarah michelle Gellar, but i’m not to sure about the premise of the series. It sounds overused. I’ll have to check it out online since I don’t have HBO.

I’m hovering at about a 5. I appreciate very much that it’s an HBO show, but I’m still not so much sure that I’m in love with Gellar. I mean, “Buffy” is Officially my FAVORITE SHOW EVER!!! and all, but frankly, it’s more that I worship creator/general smarty-pants Mr. Whedon, not semi-committed actress Sarah. It’s hard to fawn over someone who had a rep for biting the “Buffy” hand that fed her. Buffy is my girl; Sarah only played her on TV.
That said, Ms. Gellar is a fine actress and she did have a hand in creating the character–and thus the show–that j’adore so much. But I’m not walking into this new relationship blindly.

Oh, man, I really, really, REALLY freaking hope this doesn’t fall through. I’d watch anything with Sarah in it (yes, I even think it was worth my time to watch Simply Irresistible just to see her). An HBO dark comedy series sounds really good for her, and I hope it does well.

Great news! SMG’s the greatest woman on earth. I’ll have to resubscribe to HBO. I only do that when Curb comes back these days.
