I have to see his merchandise every time I head over to the shoes department at the Sears I work at, and it’s actually not that bad, surprisingly. But selling it at Sears doesn’t exactly scream “hip hop” to me. Still…I’d buy LL’s clothes. Nothing on Earth would make me buy that Project Runway outfit, though.

I seriously thought Kenleys outfit was hip hop! the crotch was jacked on the pants, yes, but with a little more polish you could definitely see Alicia Keys, as she said, or maybe a Kelly Rowland or Kelis or (3 yrs ago) Eve wearing that look. Kenly could definitely take the attitude down a notch but I totally felt her pain as she defended the look.

LL Cool J’s Sears tie-ins? More Hip-Hop than Kenley’s outfit, for sure. Kenley’s unwavering swagger? More Hip-Hop than LL Cool J, for sure.
On the serious: If I were one of the top five designers remaining in Project Runway, and LL Cool J was critiquing my creation to my face, I’d be tuning out, all the while thinking “Are you SERIOUSLY telling me how to design clothing?!”
