Umm… no, it’s not okay actually. Rosie O’Donnell [love her or hate her] is a famous lesbian who adopted more than one kid and NEVER ONCE USED THEM AS A CAREER PROP.
My God, what’s next? Maybe George Michael will go back in the closet and then come back out again and we can act surprised all over again! Give me a break! Of course Clay Aiken is gay. His coming out is as unnecessary as the “shocking” announcements made by Ellen, Nathan Lane, Neil Patrick Harris and several other obviously gay people. “Coming out” of the womb was the only thing these people needed to do for people to know they’re gay. I can’t stand when famous people stay in the closet in this day and age. Get with at least the 90′s…please! And who care about Clay’s sexuality anyway? Who’s hooking up with him??? Yuck!
Straight people come out all the time on magazine covers . . . when they get engaged and their wedding pictures – if those aren’t public declarations, I’m not sure what is.

Wow, such cowards, similar to the KKK in the US, and that is the only reason that they kill, sorry, but I Iran is a violent country that kills their women for being raped, because somehow in their eyes she did something wrong, not the man who raped her. Countries in the middle east need to start respecting people of all races, religions, gender, sexually preferance, because it is not there job to judge, only God (or whatever culture norm you call him) can can do that. Killing is a sin against God and punishable by spending an eternity in hell.

Clay was raised Southern Baptist,it’s no wonder he was in the closet (think of Ted Haggard,who claimed Jesus healed of him of his homosexuality in 3 weeks) When you’re constantly told you’re an evil,promiscuous freak who deserves to die young (and go to Hell)–that leads to self-loathing. And dishonesty.
The famously anti-gay Phyllis Schlafly and Anita Bryant BOTH have gay sons who help them in their anti-gay campaigns. (Like other conservatives,they blame mothers for their sons’ gayness) Again,self-loathing.
Considering his upbringing,it’s no wonder Clay was in the closet for so long.
Yeah, no surprise. I’m kind of annoyed that he denied it all those years, though. Whether it was because it was “his business” or not, it comes across as shame. Same goes for any celebrity who denies it or hides it.
Regarding his career, I’d be happy to buy his CDs if he’d sing better songs. I really do like his voice, but his last CD was less than stellar (he’s definitely done way too many ballads).

Why is admitting that you like to have sex with a man courageous and brave; and newsworthy if you’re a celeb? Here’s a newsflash… I got up and went to work this morning, did my job, and put food on my family’s table. Where’s my front-cover? I made sure 4 other humans on this planet were taken care of. Did you know or care what my sexual preference is? Nope… and I don’t really care what Clay’s is regardless of what he does for a living. Someone famous once said that you are what you do… does “being gay” define you as someone who only has sex? Maybe in Clay’s case… because he sure isn’t good at what he’s supposed to be doing. I guess that’s what he’s left with. Congratulations on that.
It’s not his announcement that bothers me, it’s his new face. I don’t know if he had cheek implants, a new chin, or an eyebrow lift, but I thought he looked much better before he went under the knife. Why do celebrities feel compelled to alter their body, especially when they’re still young?!
This guy is just a dumb attention wh@re. I never seen any of his work nor care about sexual preference. But I wish the same fate for him as any random dumbass who stands up in the middle of a movie and yells out obscenities. And yea I realize it’s semi-ironic that I’m posting this on a public site I saw today via Google News. However I’m not seeking fame. This guy just wants money & attention for his over-hyped bodily function. Well, congrats, sir. You and your anus have won an important page in Earth’s history.
I think it was a very brave thing for him to do. Remember he is a Pop Singer, whose fanbase is almost entirely women. And no not only lonely middleaged women. Women of all ages.
The support in ClayNation has been 90% supportive. Yes, he will lose some fans, but very few. There is a 200+ page thread at his fansite giving him support and love.
End of his career, HAHA. Yes his last album sold only 156,000. That was with very little promotion and no radio play. RCA has never “got” him and it shows. He is currently starring on Broadway reprising his role in Spamalot. When he left the Show in May, they suffered a huge drop in sales. Doesn’t sound like someone at the end of their career.

A person does what is right for them in their own time. Congratulations to Clay Aiken, do not kid yourself this was not an easy thing to do. There is nothing wrong with his career, he is just fine and will make an awesome dad because he knows what it feels like to not have a caring,participating father in his own life. I am PROUD of this guy and wish him and his son a wonderful life………….
Wow, Clay, my gaydar must have been off with you. NOT. Please. PEOPLE Magazine ought to be emabarassed that they don’t have any other newsworthy pieces to put on their cover this week. He needs his own show I think. “Life on the Q List.” Long live Kathy Griffin.
