I’m going to venture to guess that I’m one of the few that have seen, let alone know about, the Alfred Hitchcock version of this Noel Coward play. (It was made in 1928, btw, and is silent, natch.) I have to say that his version look much better, and probably closer to what Coward wrote for the stage, although I haven’t read the play and don’t know that for a fact. HItchcock’s version was pure melodrama. I, for one, can’t wait to see it. Jessica Biel looks like she holds her own with Thomas and KST looks like she’s having fun. That might be a cinematic first.
Whoever did the voiceover for the Easy Virtue trailer is just awful. Sounds like a straight to dvd movie.
I’m as far from a Jessica Biel fan as it gets, but if that trailer is any indication, she has learned a thing or two. Looks charming.
Easy virtue really does look fantastic, and anythign with Colin Firth can’t be too bad, right?
On the other hand, oh my, WHAT IS DIANE KEATON THINKING?!?!?!!?
Any movie that involves Kristen Scott Thomas, Colin Firth, Clive Owen, and Naomi Watts cannot be bad. I’ll go see both of those films.
Wow, I’m so excited…for a Jessica Biel movie! Whaaa? Yeah, Diane Keaton should definitely be more discriminating…”First Wives’ Club”, yes…”Mad Money”, maybe not!
“Easy Virtue” looks like a film I might see. I think Jessica Biel is improving as an actress. I actually liked her in “The Illusionist.”
i think i’ll go for Early Virtue and The International…on DVD.
