As a show, Firefly does lots of things. It makes you laugh, cheer, cry, go out and buy a long brown duster and pick fights on Unification Day. But every now and again, Firefly also makes you scared. And not with gooey make-up or "boo-something’s-in-the-mirror" camera gooses. Just with a man, the bounty hunter Jubal Early, making his intentions crystal clear.
And damned if Jewel Staite doesn’t act her ass off.

I missed Firefly Friday last week. So glad it’s back.
Love that show.
I was really scared for Kaylee the first time I watched that. I love this show, and missed last week’s installment.
I’m glad Firefly Friday is back.
This scene was one of the most shocking I’ve ever seen on any show. The lack of emotion in his voice when he says it is just disturbing, and to say that to Kaylee of all people. Whew, just knocks me down every time I see it. Jewel Staite totally sells the scene, even though she does very little of the talking. It’s some of her finest acting ever.
Yay for Firefly Friday! The tension in this scene is crackling, all right. Creepy stuff.
I’m not even going to watch it, because it creeped me out so much the first time I saw it. When I watch the whole episode, which I love, I skip over that part and watch the scene with shirtless Simon twice!
I miss this show.
I heart Firefly Fridays! Jewel Staite is incredible in this scene and I’m glad that EW is giving her the spotlight this week.
And Jubal is one of the creepiest one-shot characters ever to grace a tv screen…*shiver*
Probably one of the most perfect episodes of any show I’ve ever seen. Great, great tv.
Man am I glad to see people still into this show. *sigh* I wonder why there isn’t more of a fight to bring it back. Heck Star Trek got more of a revival then this did after it was canned. I have to say my favorite moment was in the pilot when mal walks into the cargo bay and shoots that guy holding Kaylee hostage. classic.
