Spiler alert: based on the book series, Sam is neither a werewolf nor vampire, simply a shape shifter. When he asked Sookie to read his mind it could have been because he did not have the courage to tell her he loves her or because simply to see if she could. There are werewolves in the series as she later discovers and also discovers she can not read thier minds. The book series is much better and has many differences form the show, as is always the case.

I don’t get that about Sam being the dog. Ha actually played with it in one of the first episodes. But maybe there’s two dogs, one ordinary and one who’s Sam? It would explain alot if he was the dog, like why it’s always following Sookie. I’d love to read the books, but I dunno if i can get hold of them here in Sweden. Btw, its quite awesome that they talk swedish in the episode when they are at Fangtasia. The serie would be perfect if it weren’t for the sex scenes, it’s WAY to much.

I guess tonights episode NOV 2ND, prooved that the author of this blog WAS RIGHT!!! Why else would bill ask Sam “who was suppose to be human” to watch Sookie? Obviously no human can watch Sookie, she needs an immortal to protect her!

Sam is a shape-shifter. He shifts into the dog only on nights when there is a full moon. He can change into any shape, but the dog is the easiest for him, and on nights of the full moon he has to change into the last thing he saw, which is why he keeps the dog painting around. Read the books.

Critter …… I’m with you …. yes how can we have a vampire story without the werewolf? ….. I feel it’s pretty well shown that there is some relationship or connection between the dog and Sam. If Sam is a werewolf and that the 2 can communicate in some form …. Which would make the dog a great spy! Then it could explain all the killings as well. Like bill said no vampire would leave a dead body with all that blood still in it …. A werewolf might …. I would think that the body’s would be more mutilated though !
