Name that Movie Mondays! (Vol. 10)

You remember how it works: We name a song. You name the film that song was used in.

This week’s track is Stephen Bishop’s "It Might Be You." For which 1982 film did it earn an Oscar nomination? The answer after the jump.

Bonus question: Name the 1995 movie in which the song played on a car radio…

The 1982 film: Tootsie.

The 1995 movie: Waiting to Exhale.

It first appeared in Tootsie, then sang by the ladies in the car during Waiting to Exhale.

Tootsie, right? (I always associate it with Arthur, but that’s the Moon in New York City song, I think.)

Got Tootsie. Didn’t get Waiting to Exhale.

  • Eric Friedmann

Stephen Bishop also appeared live on the stairs of the Delta frat house in ANIMAL HOUSE, singing “I gave my love a cherry…” just before Bluto smashed his guitar to pieces!

  • Dustin Hoffman

Was going to say either Tootsie or Kramer vs. Kramer, but I’m too old now to remember anything so I just crank out crap movies.
