Do you believe...in casting Cher as Catwoman?

I’m loving this rumor that the next Batman sequel will feature a Catwoman played by Cher. Read the full post.

I support Cher as Catwoman (though I would prefer Cate Blanchett or maybe Rachel McAdams), and Johnny Depp is my first choice for Riddler. That would be a worthy follow-up to Joker.

Mandy Moore, as either Catwoman or Poison Ivy. She can act, she’s got that sultry side needed to be a femmem fatale for the bat, and my life won’t be complete until I can see her in some sexy super villainess gear.

Cher is just too old- but I like the idea of a more mature Catwoman- cast an actress over 35 for once. How ’bout Famke Janssen- she’s the X-woman that should have played the role, not Halle Berry. However, if Nolan’s going to cast younger I like the suggestion of Christina Ricci.

yeah, cher needs to get with something that better suits her “talents”. natalie portman should replace rachel dawes as the love interest, but angelina jolie should play catwoman, i mean, come on shes angelina jolie, and natalie is good with the love interest roles

    Cher as Catwoman – Nope
I think it would be a good idea for Catwoman to be a little older, but at least get a good actress to do it. Cher is terrible.

I’m rooting for David Tennant The Riddler, personally. I love Johnny Depp, but Tennant has the perfect look for the character and damn if he wouldn’t bring a great sense of humor to the role.

Yuk, Cher?!? People complain that John McCain is too old and Cher is what 10 years younger? Sure she looks younger then she is, but Bruce Wayne needs a love interest not a grandma. This article is definately bogus. I want The Riddler, Depp would be cool but I also think Paul Bettany, Guy Pearce, or Ewan McGregor would be very cool as The Riddler.

Well, with the untimely passing of Ledger, who delivered an iconic performance as The Joker, maybe the unstated speculation in The Telegraph article is that the franchise will/should jump decades into the future for a “Dark Knight Returns” adaptation with an older, more brutal Batman coming out of retirement. That way, The Joker role could be recast with an older actor (possibly a Jack Nicholson return?) and Cher would make sense as the brothel-running Catwoman. Hell, I’d watch that.

Sherrie Moon Zombie as Harley Quinn. Watch The Devil Rejects and tell me it won’t work…

  • Sally in Chicago

I can see Cher as catwoman, I can also see Eartha Kitt reprising her role….or even Tina Turner…there are host of deliciously sinful sexy women of a certain age who can do it.

    Sean Young

    C’mon, we’re talking Catwoman here .. not Catwoman’s mother.

Mad Hatter: Johnny Depp. If he has to be older: Kevin Spacey (but he has to make sure that he does not confuse him with Lex Luthor)
And how about choosing villians that have not been used in the cartoons, but have been used in the comic book. Ie- Firefly. Michael Vartan can pull it off.

The Cher news is terrible. My choice for the Riddler: Daniel Day Lewis. And i agree with seymour hoffman as the penguin.
