Agree with Joanna. Kaiser Chiefs are a great band and I’m glad to see that several people have recommended them. They’re coming out with a new album in October produced by Mark Ronson–who most famously produced Amy Winehouse’s Back To Black. Should prove to be an interesting collaboration.

i second almost everything on here- bloc party, radiohead, coldplay, snow patrol, amy winehouse, KATE NASH!, and so on. i ALSO say The Pipettes, because they are just silly awesome fun.
though, IMHO, a true anglophile must like more elvis than just She (though that’s so pretty!). radio? pump it up? awesome.

I’ve long been an Elvis fan. Fave albums would be “My Aim Is True” and “Armed Forces”. And I have to throw in the track “Everyday I Write the Book” from “Punch the Clock” which may be the song that started it all for me.
