Eleven years ago, a little tune came along that blew up into one ofthe biggest songs of 1997, "Bittersweet Symphony," by UK band theVerve. Verve (sadly) broke up soon after, but have reunited for Forth, out August 25. EW got hold of one track off the new album, "Judas," which we’re streaming after the jump, so check it out below — as well as our review in the magazine — and let us know (a) if you’ve missed the Verve and (b) if you’ll pick Forth up when it’s released.

“Love Is Noise” is most excellent. They played live on Zane Lowe’s show on Radio 1 (UK) last week and I thought they were fantastic.
“Bittersweet Symphony” is the worst song EVER!
oh man, the Verve were so great at Coachella. Sonnet, Rolling People, Drugs Don’t Work, and Bittersweet were four songs for the ages.
I put Love is Noise on my must list a few weeks ago and am very excited about the new release. I loved the whole Urban Hymns album (Lucky Man is up there with Bittersweet Symphony) and can’t wait when I can sit at length with the new one. Yeah!
I whole-heartedly agree with T-Rex. That song has always made me want to poke out my eardrums. I was hoping this band had disappeared forever.
The Verve were such an amazing band. I’m a bit skeptical about the reunion, but I’m looking forward to seeing if they can recapture the magic of their glory years (ie A Storm in Heaven and A Northern Soul). You fools who only know the Verve from Bittersweet Symphony need to dig a little deeper.
Yeah these folks that claim Urban Hymns is the best verve album have some exploring to do. Urban Hymns was nothing more than an album full of Ashcrofts massive ego. Try A Storm in Heaven and A Northern Soul. And seek out Gravity Grave is you know whats good for you…especially the live in Glastonbury 93 version.
