Having just watched The Deal on DVD, I lament that David Morrissey hasn’t managed a higher profile in the US. Of course, appearing in stinkers like Basic Instinct II and The Reaping when he does work in Hollywood hasn’t helped him much. Perhaps he needs a better US agent?
I totally agree, Emery regarding Morrissey and The Deal. If you liked The Queen, you owe it to yourself to rent this Peter Morgan movie as well (although I’m guessing a lot of people who read this already have).
I think he’s the British equivalent of Ben Stiller – and maybe Mike Myers – trying too hard, a little abrasive, and not really funny.
