OK…. I seem to miss the new episodes every week and wind up watching them on the internet. This morning I watched the Cherry Bomb episode. OMG! This is an episode every mother with a teenaged daughter should watch together since this stuff actually happens. If any of you live in the OC in SoCal, you know that show was not just dreamed up by some writer. It was taken from the Heigel case right here in Corona Del Mar/Newport Beach.
Girls need to know as much as possible about boys who prey on young girls, especially those with insecurities.
And by the same token, boys need to know they can get caught!
Sorry….. I’ll get off my soapbox now. How was your day?

This show has just gotten better and better. This should be the blueprint for all future procedurals. The shades of grey and complex personalities make this more then just your “average” cop show!

I freaking adore this show but Brenda, Brenda, Brenda. When are you going to learn? She was so mean to Fritz last night. I was glad he called her out on it. I hope the writers aren’t going to split them up because she definitely needs him in her life. Can’t wait for the upcoming Provenza/Flynn episode. Sounds like an instant classic.

I am so disappointed in Brenda. Fritz is exactly right, if he treated her the same way–she’d change the locks on the doors before nightfall. I feel bad for Fritz, he’s so good to her. I’m afraid the writers are leading up to a Brenda/Fritz split and then a dalliance of some sort between Brenda and Chief Pope–reliving old times. ~eyeroll~gag~two thumbs down!~

Regardless how abrasive or quirky, each person needs each other. As shown when Brenda tore up the transfer papers, all are necessary for a well-run unit. Brenda, however, is too white-hot in her ambition. As she may be congratulating herself for cutting down on junk food, she’s stunned at the equal heat demonstrated by Fritz. Poor guy, if he weren’t so strong and sure of his manhood, he’d leave her. When will she grow up?

LOVED the way they wrapped this one up. Great acting by Tenney, and about time Fritz called her out. They better work it out though cuz I love Brenda and Fritz together. This ep was better than last week ~ had a bit more humor (homemade shoes! medicare! chief pope scolding the reporter!).

When I saw the promo for this episode, I thought for sure it would be a subconscious, unintentional screwing, but I was startled that she was so malicious about it. We’ve seen that she’s selfish and very high maintenance, but that always seemed to balance well with Fritz’s patient nature. And when Fritz’s back went out, and she put the bottle of wine away, I thought we had a breakthrough. But she was conniving and cruel. I can’t believe she didn’t care if she ruined his career or not. I certainly hope this incident continues into the upcoming episodes and isn’t just swept under a rug. She needs that growth.
