Many thanks for bringing Richard Armitage’s talent to wider audience.
I would like to ask Richard:
Of all the characters that you have potrayed, which has been the most challenging and is there a current role,in a film or,television series that you would love to play.
Thanks for linking to my youtube channel. Great article, and episode 2 of TGH is up now as well.
I “discovered” Robin Hood on BBC America one Saturday night and I am hooked. Guy is my favorite character, he has such good chemistry with Marian!
That’s great! I would like to ask: If he´s angry because all the people (or most of them) see him always like a good character,I’ll explain, the character of Sir Guy is really badly, but with his play, all the people want to marry Guy with Marian, because they think that he can change with her. In all the film of RH the bad boys are really bad and of course all the people want that Robin and Marian will be together. do you think that this is a problem?
Thank you for the oportunity. Kisses from Spain.
I am so pleased to see Richard getting the recognition he deserves, thank you for having this article.
Question: If you could play another hero of a costume drama, which role would you like to play?
Thank you for Bits and Bobs – hope this is now a permanent feature!
As always, my vote for future installments goes to Matthew Macfadyen – he has several things coming up, including Ron Howard’s Frost/Nixon, Incendiary with Michelle Williams and Ewan MacGregor and a BBC adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Little Dorrit. Very worthy, indeed!
Great to see Richard getting some recognition in the US. I think I would put Sparkhouse second in the list though…..a wonderful performance and well worth watching.
Question: If Richard could interview just one person from the present day who would it be and what is the first question he would ask them?
Other than placing Marple so high, I agree 100% with your ordering of Richard’s work – especially with CBeebies! My question for Richard is (besides an invitation to attend our next North and South viewing in Texas is … do his nephews play with the Little Guy super-poseable action figure?
It’s very gratifying to see an actor I’ve admired so long, finally getting some recognition on this side of the pond.
Richard, you’ve done comedy and drama–do you have any interest in doing sci-fi films or fantasy-type epics?
Thank you for this post – yes, Richard definitely deserves more attention than he gets now. And I agree with those who’d put Sparkhouse higher up on the list – say, second place?
My question to Richard is: which actors do you admire most (past or present)?
Thanks for your article – your knowledge of Richard Armitage’s work is encyclopaedic! My question is: If you were a piece of fruit what would it be & why?
I discovered North & South and Richard Armitage a year ago, and my life has not been the same since. I’ve never before been so charmed by an actor’s talent. I can’t get enough of any role he’s played, and have actually worn out my N&S DVD! SEXIEST MAN ALIVE? Richard Armitage. Thank you for showcasing Richard’s work and the links to more. I’ll finally be able to watch Sparkhouse!!
My question for Richard: Can you please pull any strings you may have at BBCA to return MI-5 to American screens so that we have a chance to see your performance there? America needs more Richard!! And more…and more…..
I would like to ask Richard, if he will be on stage lets say end of this year or in the beginning of the next?
Thanks for answering
Wonderful, beautiful, sexy Richard. I blame my best friend for my Armitage love. I had no idea who he was until she blogged about Guy of Gisbourne on her personal site. Over the moon for him since then, yes.
Suggestion for a Brit to cover in Bits & Bobs: Hugh Dancy! Yes, please.
I forgot that I have a chance to pose Richard a question! Here goes:
Richard, since you’ve previously performed professionally in musicals, is there any chance we’ll ever get to see you sing and dance on film? Any interest in doing a musical again, in general? Thanks!
