Can you call an entire half episode a "clip"? Because that’s what Bonescreator Hart Hanson, producer Barry Josephson, and stars David Boreanaz (pictured, right, with Eric Millegan and Emily Deschanel),Michaela Conlin, Tamara Taylor, and Jon Francis Daley delivered to fans in one ofthe closing sessions of Comic-Con’s second day (moderated by EW’s own WhitneyPastorek). Well, that and posters for everyone in the audience.
So whatdid we see? Crap. No, that’s not a critical assessment of the new season; weliterally saw poo. The victim from the early season 4 episode appears to havebeen shot then stuffed — head first — in a Port-A-Potty. Clearly, he’s not comingout smelling like a rose, as the new intern (one of a slew of newbies the showplans to shuffle in to replace Millegan’s murderous squint Zack Addy) makesa point of noting every chance she gets. Don’t look for her to stick around,as the character is so purposely annoying to the rest of theJeffersonian staff that we wouldn’t be surprised if she turned up as the victimin a subsequent episode.
After the clip (trust us, there weren’t reallyany spoilers there), the panel got started in earnest with Boreanaz and Hansonexplaining that the cast flew to London for the season opener (way to pony upsome ducats, Fox!). Boreanaz was all kinds of animated, explaining why he hatesdouble-decker buses (claustrophobic), chickens (all birds, actually), and fish(something to do with his appearance on the Martha Stewart show). Then it wastime for some spoilers. Stop here, Bones fans, if you really don’t wantto know.
For those of you none too pleased by the turn the Gormogon casetook in the season finale — and Hanson says he realizes there are many ofyou — there is a bright side: Millegan will return as Addy for an unknown numberof episodes. Of course, he’ll still be that-guy-who-killed-for-the-cannibal,but…still.
There’s also love in the Jeffersonian, with Cam (Taylor)and Sweets (Daley) each getting lucky (no word on whether it’s with each other),and an ex-flame of Angela’s (Conlin) returning. Also: We finally meet Angela’slong lost mystery husband, from whom she’s been trying to get a divorce so thatshe can marry fellow lab rat Hodgins (T.J. Thyne).
The biggest spoiler,however, was Hart revealing that, "This year, Booth (Boreanaz) and Brennan(Deschanel) will be in bed together naked. That’s all I can say aboutthat." And for those still smarting over the season finale, he offers someconsolation in revealing that it wasn’t exactly the way he wanted to end theseason either. With the writer’s strike throwing the schedule off, the Bonescreative types figured they’d conclude not with the Gormogon killer, but withBooth getting shot. So look at the bright side, Bones lovers: Youcould’ve spent the entire summer with Booth on the bubble.

Was there no mention of Booth’s family for season 4? I am not bothered about Sweets or Cam getting relationships.

I appreciate the poo warning as well, because my mom and I were eating a tasty dinner when the ep about the basketball player squished behind the bleachers and melted was on. Yum. I soldiered on because it’s Bones I couldn’t turn the station. Just ate a little slower.
So…basically, they decided it would be a lot better to end it with a ridiculous plot to get the B/B fangirls all riled up(KNOWING that Booth wouldn’t NOT die), instead of giving Zack/Eric a proper goodbye and ending the Gormagon arc with a kick ass ending? Yeah, way to go creative types. That just makes me more irritated. I mean they built up the Gormagon plot to be this awesome arc and they did not deliver. I’m tired of hearing the lame strick excuse. Other shows had awesome finales, there is no excuse for ‘Bones’.
shrikha, I agree. Booth is the main character. If David left, there would be no show. No matter what people say, he’s the main draw, imo.
P.S., HH has to stop doing these boring teases for the shippers. I’m surprised people are still falling for the teases, only to be disappointed. Maybe, you should make more for your show than it being all about a non-couple, now. God, this show was SO good, in earlier seasons. Before, it turned into a romantic comedy.
Lame would be ending, making us think that something bad would happen to Booth – as if! Never going to happen. If David wasn’t in the show there would be no show simple as! He is the reason why the show is on the air and why alot of people watch it. The fan reaction he got at Comic Con when he got announced on to the stage and when his character Booth showed up on the clips they show, was AMAZINGLY loud with a lot of squeeing, even David seemed amazed by it. My loyalty lies with being his fan and not the show. If he were to leave and go on to a new show, so would I and his very large fanbase. JMO . And if Hart is reading this, please get Booth a love interest, a hot woman, his character needs to have a little fun in the romance department, I love it when Booth flirts and is in a relationship.
yeah booth is hot but I love bones she’s smart and witty. it’s about time we had someone like that since veronica mars.
Brennan isn’t witty she is socially clueless, narrowed minded (what she says is fact don’t dare and have a different opinion, ugggg), boastful and rude – not traits I like in a TV character. If it wasn’t for Booth I’d switch off!

Agree with the other poster Brennan is not witty just plain rude and ignorant. And people please stop taliking about Moonlighting it was 20 odd years ago, jeez – the show is called Bones. If they don’t get the pair together soon, the fans might get bored with the whole will they won’t they, it is kind of immature.
Any one else worried about all the bed hopping, hope it doesn’t turn into a cheesy soap opera, unless it is Booth and we get to see David shirtless – oh yeah. Yep don’t really care about Cam or Sweets either. But they better do good by Booth and gave him some meaty family stories this year, we want to see Booth’s family!
How freaking cool is David? got to love him! And getting Booth and Brennan together will only enhance the show, they won’t stop bickering just because they are together, it will make it only more fun to watch
The Zac storyline was so lame that a lot of people want it to be a dream of Booth’s he had whilst he got shot and had passed out, that is how badly fans hated the twist of Zac being a murderer. Why couldn’t they carry the gormogan story on into season 4? It was not the writers strike fault but bad creativity choices and talent from the show itself, they should start taking responsibity for their actions and the fans mighten still be so mad. I wonder what the ratings will be like throughout the next season, a lot of people have said that they are done with the show.

Even if the writers were forced to cram things into an episode at the end of last season due to the writer’s strike and the Gormogon story line didn’t get the closer and time it deserved I still love the show
Why do they always ruin things with the characters getting married, or sleeping together? That just ruins the chemistry, and the suspense. Do they want the show to end? The banter between the characters is great (one liberal and one conservative). It’s also more like real life, when one of them has a girlfriend or boyfriend that the other one does not want around. That’s life in the real world. Often people get crushes on a co-worker, but the co-worker always has someone. But, if they both rather secretly dig each other, it’s great! That keeps the suspense and the chemistry going, and it can contribute to better story lines.

Lorlin, I think you may be reading it wrong. They are not putting B/B together. HH is going to tease you shippers forever. He just said they are going to be in bed naked together. Not sexually. There are already Hypothermia theories out there. That’s one of the only ways to pull this ridiculous “stunt” off, without putting them together. I don’t even know why they have to go there. It’s immature and meaningless, imo.

if the writers/slash producers have half a brain between them (doubtful after treatment of Eric M) then there’s no way the Booth and Bones will ever get together. The show would be over. Really hate the oooh they’re gonna be in bed together teasers, The show doesn’t them.

Booth and Brennan belong together. It has been that way from season one and eventually they will be together. DEAL WITH IT. Please stop putting a downer on these brilliant spoilers and what most fans want – B and B together. thank you.
Having read and loved the Kathy Reighs books for years now I wish they would put B&B together like the books so we can see how the cope with the working/personal relationship like the books do – stop the teasing.
I don’t know why everyone thinks that by slowly getting Booth and Brennan together would ruin the series. If they didn’t play with atleast the idea of a relationship between them it would be boring. This show has always been more than a procedural crime drama. It has always been relationship-based with a lot of humor thrown in. I can’t wait to see what they do with Booth and Bones this season – the bed thing or another kiss. However, my favorite parts are not the physical ones but the ones where Booth and Brennan are brought closer and closer emotionally. Can’t wait till Sept. 3rd!!

Well i was think about this bones and booth thing.. they said theyd be oin bed together naked but i bet that itll be a dream or something that isnt sex but quite the oposite, the reason i watch bones is mainly for the bones booth interaction and i love the moments were you get the feel there gonna kiss and they get interupted (but it also gives me a heart attack just watching.)Aha hope they get together soon!.
