Hello PopWatchers! Today was an epic ‘Twilight’ day. Not only did we get to see Bella and Edward in the flesh, along with the climactic ballet studio scene, but I had the wonderful opportunity to interview the one and only Stephenie Meyer (pictured). What a great woman. We chatted all things ‘Twilight,’ from her first reaction to the screaming Comic-Con fans to her thoughts of turning her beloved creation into a Hollywood movie. Click here to watch our four-part video series with Meyer, and be sure to post your comments below.

She’s amazing. And humble! I agree completely about Rob playing Edward. Surprisingly though, she said the exact opposite of what I thought about Kristen. Even though she’s good actress, she’s no where near how I pictured Bella. And so sounds nothing like the Bella in my head. But if Stephenie’s satisfied then so am I!
Stephnie Meyer is truely incredible to have created a series so powerful and amazing. Thank you so much to EW for posting this for those of us who were unable to go because we live in Australia
so jealous! But I can’t wait for Breaking Dawn. Team Edward don’t let me down!
I know this is so not the point of this video, but I can’t get over how fantastic she looks! She’s always pretty, but she looks especially nice here. Mother of three, unbelievably prolific and successful author, AND super cute…you go, Stephenie!!!
Nicole, what a great interview! Intelligent, relevant… I can’t say enough…. what a treat! Thanks!
Stephenie Meyer is SOOOOOOOOO amazing!!!! Her books are all FANTASTIC!!!!!! The movie looks pretty good… but it will never compare with the books. I don’t love Patterson playing Edward… but maybe when the movie comes out I will be surprised (I hope!).
Very much looking forward to both BD and the theatric release of Twilight. Was personally thrilled with the reception Rob Pattinson got at ComicCon. I don’t think a more perfect Edward could exist and after all of the negative reaction he received initially, it’s time he received some of the adoration he so rightly reserves for being a fine young actor, a humble individual and well, just truly all around beautiful.
Great, great, great interview!!!! I am happy that Stephenie is so pleased with the movie. Anytime an author gives their stamp of approval on a film version of their work, you know it’s going to be good!
I love what she said about Kellan. Although I’m kind of surprised, in the book, Emmett is described as much larger and muscular than he looks in the previews, but I still think he will be great.
I thought she was supposed to answer questions in this interview.
I am a little disappointed.
When I say questions I mean questions about the series people had. Wasn’t she also going to reveal something from Breaking Dawn?
Kaitlyn S., she was going to reveal them on Monday. Not today.
It’s only one out of four, so we’ll have to stay tuned for the breaking Dawn stuff! GREAT INTERVIEW. Wow, Stephenie is just a totally awesome person, isn’t she? I don’t know her, but I’m pretty sure I love her. XD This is so great
It’s not often we hear Stephenie speak actuallt, and well, Stephenie speaking is the closest you can get to Twilight X).Thank you for this interview!
I’m so glad that Stephenie is so pleased with how the book plays out. That’s all I really wanted. I’m so reassured now that the book will be amazing. One week everybody!
I think Kellan was the only one that initially when I saw the cast I was excited about – the rest have grown on me.
I am bummed about that Midnight Sun will be the only one from Edward’s point of view. As depressing as things maybe, it would be a great read.
I’m wondering if she would pick up stories about the others. We got little background information on everyone – how they became they way they were – but spinoff some folks. Ok, I’m being selfish…
Thanks Nicole for the interviews.
I was 3 rows form the stage and it was awesome!! They are all beautiful!! I was pretty mad about the one person that asked if they wore boxers or briefs and asked Kristen if she knew!? You could tell that Kristen was uncomfortable!! I felt bad!! That lady was rediculous!
