Happy National Gorgeous Grandma Day, P-Dubbers! Yes, we’re totally serious. Aren’t we always? Don’t answer that.
Whoa, look! EW.com has the perfect photo gallery — unabashedly entitled 33 GILFy Pleasures — to help you celebrate. That’s so awesome. And honestly, so is this random holiday. GGD’s mission statement? "Let’s celebrate this day, and every day, by making it vibrant and lovely!" My favorite Gorgeous Grandma, Lucille Bluth, is gamely pretending to be on board. Who’s your favorite GG, whether in pop culture or bleak reality? ("Helen Mirren in a bikini" won’t technically count, but let’s go ahead and make her an honorary.)

Mine is none other than Emily Gilmore. With her quick wit, great fashion sense and ability to subtly insult you with every sentence she makes, it’s a wonder she’s not the editor of some high-end fashion magazine.
I agree Emily Gilmore is about as best as you can do, even if I sometimes wanted to yell at her….
Shirley McLaine was all sorts of awesome in “Rumour Has It”
What about Paul Newman? How could you not put him on the list?
Definitely Lucille Bluth. “HERE’S SOME MONEY. GO SEE A STAR WAR.” Love her.
Oh, you’ve got a picture of my favorite TV grandma! Of course, I’d have to run away and avoid her for my entire life if she really were my grandmother, but I appreciate the character.
I saw “Something to Talk About” the other weekend, and I thought that Gena Rowlands was quite lovely.
I love Jessica Walters because she hasn’t stretched her face to look like, as Stewie Griffin would say, “lik someone stretched silly putty over their knee”…she has wrinkles and looks her age…and she’s working on tv! (well…). She’s smart, funny, and I love that she wasn’t forced to mess up her face…
1 vote for Gangy aka Lucille Bluth, who once said of her own son “I don’t care for Gob”
