You remember how the PopWatch Duel works: We ask two people for their picks on a certain topic. You decide whose list is better by casting avote in the comments section. They try to tell themselves that theydon’t care who wins.
In honor of today’s DVD release of Robot Chicken: Star Wars — which just received an A- review in EW and, oh yeah, an Emmy nomination — we asked creators Seth Green (left) and Matthew Senreich (right) to each name The Five Geekiest Pieces of Pop Culture I Own.
It’s on after the jump.
Seth Green
1. The Muppet Show on DVD. I was on location in Canada, up late with insomnia — saw the ad & bought the entire series.
2. Lincoln Hawk action figure (pictured, in a photo Green took himself). From the movie Over The Top — the best father-son, borderline homoerotic, arm-wrestling redemption movie.
3. Fred ‘Rerun’ Berry signed photo. Made out to ’sweet j,’ an inside joke and an amazing item.
4. GI Joe lunchbox. Yes, I have the thermos.
5. Lobby card from Superman. The villians, trapped in the flying glass thingy from the Donner cut of Superman II.
Matthew Senreich
1. Over 100 original Atari games including Ikari Warriors, Warlord, Adventure and that crappy E.T. game.
2. A super signed Buffy the Musical poster.
3. A page of Joe Madureira’s original art to his first contracted work from Marvel Comics in Marvel Comics Presents #89.
4. Every issue of Wizard magazine ever. Specials included.
5. All the original Kenner Star Wars action figures (all of which have been opened). Including the C-3PO carrying case. Plus, eight Master Replica lightsabers including Darth Maul’s.
Okay, who’s the bigger geek (a term of affection)? Seth Green or Matthew Senreich? Vote now!

There’s no contest. Matthew Senreich wins. Anyone who owns any collection including “every issue” or “all the original” action figures of anything is a class A certified geek.
Matthew wins, hands-down.
I thought Seth had it with the Rerun autograph, but owning even one issue of Wizard magazine makes you top geek. Matthew takes the win.
Though I love Seth Green, I’m going with Matthew based on the fact that one of his items is actually memorabilia from a show SG was on (regardless of whether he was still actually in the cast at that point).
Definitely Matthew!
I’m going with Seth because of the Muppet Show. Matthew is certainly a geek’s geek, but Seth is in another dimension of geek world with the Muppets. Winner: Seth!
“Over the Top” was BORDERLINE homoerotic? I agree, except for the “borderline” part.
By the way, Matthew wins.
Matthew Senreich is a bigger geek, but Seth Green will always have my heart.
Well Matthew owns a Buffy poster while Seth was actually in the cast at one point….I can’t make an unbiased decision
Seth was in Buffy — he wins, no matter what Matthew has in his collection.
BTW, did anyone see Seth on The View? He was promoting the Robot Chicken Star Wars DVD. I felt so sorry for the guy — those idiot women were completely clueless and it was the most uncomfortable interview to watch. I’m sure it was really uncomfortable for him to have to talk to those morons! Seth, we still love you, even though you had to go on The View.
Oh my god, I’m so envious of the original Joe Madureira art!!!! He was my absolute favorite X-Men artist ever.
Sorry Seth gotta hand it to Matthew Senreich to take the Geek title this time.
Matthew wins! He got points for Buffy, then pushed it over the top with his vast collection of Star Wars memorabilia.
Can’t make an unbiased choice cause I Love Seth !!!!!
Matthew, but Seth gets an A for effort.
Matthew Senreich. Hands down. Whenever “complete set” is thrown down in relation to that many nerdy things, the winner is pretty clear.
Anyone who owns an action figure from Over the Top wins by default. Seth.
Matthew wins, even if he did open the Star Wars packages like true geeks aren’t supposed to do. But Seth gets Total Awesomeness Points for owning the entire Muppets on DVD. I covet them.
I have to go with Matthew Senreich. He’s got some pretty obscure pieces. And I mean, I love Seth regardless. But I’m questioning his comment about getting the ‘entire series’ of the Muppet Show on DVD. They’re not even all out yet, Seth!! (Just 3 seasons. Luv ya!!! XOXO) (Yeah. Big geek here too.)
I wanted to vote Seth because, duh…buffy, but then Matthew had to come through with a SIGNED BUFFY MUSICAL POSTER. The geek in me became rather jealous. I vote Matthew. Sorry Seth.

I want to say Matthew, I too have all the first line of Star Wars figures, opened because I played with them as a child. But to call the E.T. Atari game crappy? Man, I loved that game, that’s unforgivable.
matthew
i love seth, but matthew kicked his ass in the geek category. Original star wars action figures, every issue of wizard, and a “super signed” buffy poster. i was already decided after the poster. lol
Matthew in a landslide. Not even close.
As someone who owns Seth Green’s action figures from both Austin Powers AND Buffy, as well as nursing quite the obsessions with both Mupets and Superman….I vote for Seth. I like a well-rounded geek. Matthew is the typical comic book/star wars action figure geek. Unoriginal. Of course I do remember the C-3PO carrying case and give props for that.
Sorry Seth but Matthew’s list trumps yours 10 to 1. Original Joe Mad art from his FIRST contract? Awesome. EVERY Wizard? That is super geekdom. Now if only he had all the original Wars figures unopened….

oops – sorry for the double post…
I love Seth and the fact that he has the entire series of the Muppet Show is so made of win. Although Matthew comes close with the signed OMWF poster.
Still, voting for Seth.
I Sooo want to vote for seth, and would have, until the Buffy poster. I feel that makes it okay to vote for the real winner, b/c then I’m not voting Against Buffy.
Matthew, all the way. He had me with the Buffy poster.
Plus every issue of Wizard? Hell, yeah! I’m one of those people that collects magazines too, so I totally get it. My EW collection is a bit out of control at this point!
Also, Joe Mad is such a SICK penciller. (I fell in love with him when he first did The Phalanx Covenant issues of ‘Uncanny’. He brought it to a whole new level. Sooo good.)
So I guess what I’m saying is… Matt, will you marry me? (Ha.)
