I love how you were all in highschool when this came out. I was in my late 20′s and my friends and I totally obsessed over this movie. I still love it! Notice how her toe shoes change from white to red in the last scene. love it.

OMDC! I LOVED Center Stage when I was younger. This movie made me want to take up dancing again. Pure cheesy bliss! Everytime it comes on tv I am glued to the screen:) Now I wish I had it on DVD…

Just saw Ethan Stiefel, Julie Kent, and Sascha Radetsky in Giselle at ABT. Couldn’t help giggling a bit thinking about Sascha’s poor attempts to “outdance” Ethan in that final number. What a good sport!

Okay, I know I just posted, but I just wanted to say that I’d rather watch a dance movie with bad acting/good dance scenes like Centre Stage than a movie like Save the Last Dance, where they can act, but the girl who gets into Julliard dances with flexed feet and isnt even that good at hip hop.
Anyone else with me?

OMG YES!! i knew it was centre stage, every dancer has to love this movie!!
And Kristen, Girls Just Want to Have Fun is the 80s dance movie. Way better than Footloose or Flashdance; there’s no way to top SJP, Helen Hunt, Shannen Doherty, Jonathan Silverman and the cuteness that is Lee Montgomery!!!
