I need your help, fellow gaming PopWatchers. I’m attending this year’s E3 — the annual über-dog-and-pony show for video games and consoles — for the first time next week, and while I’ll be ably guided by our illustrious gaming editor and E3 veteran Wook Kim, I’m still feeling kinda green about facing down the massive sea of booths and stages at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
So this is where you all come in: What games do you most want to hear about? We’ll have the big press conferences by Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony all covered, but when it comes down to the individual games, there’s a frak-load to choose from. (Click here for a list of the titles confirmed to appear.) Should I focus mostly on the tsunami of action-based sequels — i.e. Resident Evil 5, and Fallout 3, and Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Far Cry 2, and Gears of War 2? Do I fixate on games like The Sims 3, LittleBigPlanet and Spore that are as much about creating your own universe as playing inside it? (I’m personally pretty jazzed about Spore (see video below), so you’re gonna hear about that one regardless.) Is there anything more you’d like to know about Star Wars: The Force Unleashed or Lego: Batman, or have those EW.com First Looks whet your appetite?
Hop on down our warp pipe to the message board level and let me know!

Hooray for Spore! (But boo to the fact that the free trial download of the creature creator keeps crashing my computer!) That and Sims 3 would be by far the ones I’m most interested in.
I’m really interested in SIMS3- I’ve been an addict of all of the SIMS games since SimCity, so any info on that would be appreciated!
please report on Resistance 2 as well any related viral marketing for the game. the wonderful people behind The Dark Knight viral campaign are doing Resistance 2 now.
Anything on Nintendo’s end of year line-up, but especially everything on animal crossing please.
Sims 3 all the way…haven’t heard much of it and it sounds amazingly interesting
I would say more of Spore, Sims 3 and LittleBigPlanet…thank you so much
please report on anything Sega, i heard and ive seen trailers to the new sonic game, which is supposedly going to help revive sonic’s persona as a video game icon. (he’s games haave sucked in recent years but aloto f buzz is around Sonic Unleashed
Also I think you should look into what BUNGIE (The makers of HALO) ARE DOING, it might be a platformer and there is alot of talk about that too..
RESIDENT EVIL 5 IS OF COURSE amazing but it wont be out till march 09 so we still have time to hear new stuff down the road this year so try to get exclusive new INFO.
resident evil 5 for sure, guitar hero 4 and rock band 2 please!
I’m surprised Nintendo’s lineup is so sparse, but maybe they’re saving their big guns for Spaceworld instead. Same with Blizzard. I’ve been waiting almost a decade for a Starcraft sequel (or any Starcraft game…RIP Starcraft Ghost). I don’t want them to skimp any details, because knowing them, this won’t be finished until three years from now.
Honestly, I’m not too interested in many games on the list besides a number of sequels, like Resident Evil 5, Gears of War 2 and SOCOM: Confrontation, and maybe a Call of Duty sequel if Activision decides to unveil it.
Just report on whatever impresses you–I bet that’s what will impress the average gamer. Otherwise, the big ticket games you mentioned should whet the appetites of the diehards.
But please cover LittleBigPlanet and Spore–I’m most excited about them!
Spore. SPORE.
I’ve been salivating over this for the past year or so.
God of War III
I’m a Will Wright girl too, so Spore and Sims 3. I’d be curious to hear about Fallout 3, but seeing as it’s not the same dev team, I’m a bit skeptical about the quality and tone of it.
…and there’s never enough Nintendo news. More games, please!
sims 3 definatley!
Animal Crossing Wii! It’s rumored to be releaseed in the fall, any details would be amazing!!
