Normally, I don’t mind when people criticize my favorite shows. I usually take the approach of “to each his own.” However (and I say this with the least amount of vitriol as possible) to dan jones (from yesterday’s post): you, sir, are a fungdark.

I think Lisa Kudrow or Matt LeBlanc could be great on Weeds. Heck, Lisa Kudrow would be great on *anything*. How about Californication or Brothers and Sisters? And since Matt LeBlanc has seemingly fallen off the face of the earth, maybe it’s time for a bit of reinventing–how about something serious like one of the CSIs, 24, or even Lost? Matthew Perry or David Schwimmer would be good on Dexter (and like Lisa Kudrow, good on nearly anything). Jennifer Aniston really doesn’t need the work, but I could see her on Ugly Betty or one of the Law and Orders.

I’m gonna keep it in the NBC Family on “30 Rock” so they can milk the movie to death without taking “The Bee Movie” route:
David S: Comes back on as his eco-superhero
Matthew P: a former head writer on TGS, just totally make fun of Studio 60
Matt L: as Dennis’ brother, “he’ll be back, dummy!”
Lisa K: as CC’s assistant
Courtney: Head of the Pages, who intimidates all the pages, but has a secret crush on Kenneth
Jennifer: as herself, vying for a role against Jenna, because you know Jenna thinks she’s in Jennifer’s league

Lisa Kudrow on 30 Rock is PERFECT, how smart…
I’d also love to see David Schwimmer and Matt Perry come back to TV; they’re so hilarious. Any show that lets them show off, I’d tune in regardless of what it is.
Jennifer Aniston… hmm, that’s a toughie. Maybe she should have her own pilot.
And if any of them showed up on Kathy Griffin’s D-list show on Bravo, they’d get good marks in my book!

Courtney Cox- Burn Notice as Sam’s ex wife.
Jennifer Aniston- Either Entourage or Ugly Betty as herself.
Lisa Kudrow- Psych as an actual psychic to rival Shawn.
David- Reaper as an escaped soul.
Matt Le Blanc- HIMYM as one of Robin’s boyfriends but one that sticks around for awhile.
Matt Perry- Pushing Daisies as a love interest for Chuck or Olive.

And how’s this for Matt LeBlanc’s entrance on Grey’s Anatomy: Izzie has just fallen down the elevator shaft to her death. As her scream dies out, there’s a ding! & the doors to the next elevator open. Out steps Dr. Drake Ramoray — or it is his evil twin? (Sorry — was that mean? I don’t actually want Katherine Heigel to leave the show. But the set-up was perfect.)
Back on topic, I could definitely see Matthew Perry on The Office — maybe as a sort of older version of Jim, slightly bitter that he never got to be that sports writer in Philly or whatever. Maybe he & Jan could have had a Jim & Pam thing going on years ago, only she became too focussed on her career — & now he’s been promoted into Ryan’s (& Jan’s) old job. Conflict & hilarity ensue. (& yes, I did have too much time on my hands today, thank you for asking.)

Hmmm …
Courteney –> Damages (any role, I think she’d be great)
David –> Bones (works at the Smithsonian – maybe as a guard, who THINKS he knows science)
Jennifer –> How I Met Your Mother (I’m thinking Barney sleeps with her and she becomes stalkery or something because she’s a nutcase)
Lisa –> either Psych or Supernatural (we know she can do variations on loopy … and Psych is mostly all fun, and Supernatural tends to do 1 or 2 “mostly fun” eps per year)
Matt LeBlanc –> NCIS (they can be investigating his death, but give him a couple actual acting bits too – like in flashback while they investigate it)
Matthew Perry –> Monk (he could be the main suspect or whatever – just as long as he and Tony Shalhoub got a bunch of scenes together .. because I can picture the funny!!)
