Talk about challenges, last weekend’s box office race featured plenty of problems. Will Smith’s Hancock did well — but perhaps not as well as it should have — in grossing $62.6 million from Friday to Sunday. WALL-E dropped more than anticipated: 48.5 percent. Wanted’s decline was even bigger: 60.6 percent. And Kit Kittredge: An American Girl flopped with just $3.3 mil. As a result, EW.com’s box office analyst completely blew most of his predictions, and it all made for one of the toughest innings of EW.com’s Box Office Challenge game all season. There were no perfect scores, and while 87 percent of players correctly picked Hancock to finish at No. 1, the screwy rankings toward the end of the list (thanks in part to Ms. Kittredge) tripped up almost everyone. Special props, then, go out to "greg68," who survived the calamity and won the week.
Now on to some good news: A new weekend is ahead, featuring three big movies: Hellboy II, Meet Dave, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. Think you’ve got what it takes to predict their order of finish? Wanna win some free DVDs? Just click on over to the game and take a crack at it by Friday at 8 p.m. Eastern time — you’ve got nothing to lose.

I figured everyone who really wanted to see Wanted, did so in the first weekend.
It was Kit Kittridge that really screwed me up. I overestimated the power of the little girl. They were all probably still watching Wall-E or Kung Fu Panda.
That or maybe people are tired of Abigail Breslin. It seems like she’s been in a movie every other month this year
