if only it was that easy for mario lopez…

I know they’ve been the WWE for years, but when it said “Sharon Lawrence, Actor and WWF Supporter” my first thought was the she supported The Rock, Triple H, Ric Flair and others. Sorry.

It would be nice if folks got all the facts instead of what a select few want us to believe. The last I heard from reputable scientists was the polar bear population was growing not declining.

Sarah McLachlan’s “Angel” playing while she talks about abused cats and dogs? Fuhgettaboutit! She got me!

  • Bruno

The polar bear population is NOT growing. I have family in the north and they have had to kill three times as many bears in the last two years as they wander into town for food. It’s incredibly sad.

I knew exactly where this was going the moment I read the headline. Sharon has got me bad. Those freaking polar bears forced a Sinead-style single tear out of me. And don’t even get me started on the montage of one-eyed puppies to the soundtrack of McLachlan’s “Angel.” Weep-worthy, I tell you, WEEP-worthy.

    Ceballos,
Me too! I didn’t even know the WWF had changed names. But with that at the beginning and her sadly deadpan delivery at first, I was waiting for some spoof or other fun. Then when I realized it was supposed to be serious, I just started crying. At her awful I’m-taking-myself-too-seriously performance.
I’ll take David Duchovny any day. At least he *sounds* like he cares. Well, and he’s scrumptious. That helps.

I agree that the Sarah McLachlan ASPCA commercial is one of the hardest to watch, yet I can’t turn it off. As a dog lover and fan of the beautiful Ms. McLachlan (thanks for growing your hair out again!) I always want to run out to the local shelter with Possession blaring from my car speakers. However, this PSA almost seemed like a joke. I kept waiting for the punchline that never came, which means that it definitely does not pack the same emotional punch as the ASPCA or David Duchovny dog commercials (thank god it’s only his voice). Sorry, I have to give it a thumbs down.

hahah i thought it said WWE too and i expected it to be a joke and then I realized it said WWF and I was still waiting for a punch line, thinking it was some sort of parody. Sorry, I’m gonna have to give it a thumbs down.
I agree, Sarah McLachlan’s is much sadder and more moving
