I’m so tired of any time they show a Christian on tv, he or she always has to be an crazy, religious, judgmental hypocrite.

I love this show but i want to see amy telling her parents she’s pregnant. i want to see their reaction to what a “nice girl” is really like.

I am sick and tired of all these stupid shows that pretend to relate to teenage troubles. I’m currently entering my senior year and I have never been a sex-obsessed, boy-loving, pop music loving girl who believes that these show are “like so totally true.” Why are teenagers always shown like they have these type of personalities that make them seem like they have an extreme low level of taste? I could never relate to they way the media depicts teenagers today. Its sometimes a wonder to me why I feel so different from all of my peers at school. I always have to deal with the “omg, lol, omg he’s so cute” type of people. Why can’t I dicuss intelligent topics about music, books, and movies with other teenagers.
Oh wait, it’s because these idiotic shows confrom teenagers into these uncultured, wannabe adults.
*forgive me if I seemed like just another pointless teenager who should act my age. but its what I feel and I won’t take it back.

It’s kind of funny that Molly Ringwald plays the responisble mother because in sixteen candles she’s the teenager, and it’s funny because in that movie she really wants sex, but in this show, she doesn’t want her daughter to have sex.

This show made me really emotional because im 17 and i had a baby last year when i was 16, and it really made me feel better being able to relate to a tv. show like this. it was the hardest thing in the whole world to break the news to my parents, but when i did, they were glad i came to them in my desperate time of need. i don’t speak to my baby’s father anymore because ever since i had his baby he has been really mean to me because his parents were furious that he got me pregnant. thank you for this show. now it’s a little easier to talk about my teenage pregnancy now that tv. is being more up front about it. im not ashamed of my baby laura anymore.

I didn’t like it all they seemed to talk about was sex this and sex that, we don’t talk about sex in ever conversation of our lives, I mean it’s bad enough our parents think we’re having sex when ever we leave the house.

I think that the only thing I can really relate my life as a 17 year old is 1955′s Rebel Without A Cause, I can relate to Jim, and Pluto a lot. That movie is still the only thing that touches the life of an American Teenager growing up in a hard time is Rebel Without A Cause.

I was more than slightly put off by the stereotyping of teh asian girl as numbers smart, constantly quoiting statistics. overall it was ok, but definitely a lot of random “oh here’s some facts so try and remember them ok kids?” moments.

I just graduated from HS and throughout those 4 years, I don’t think I’ve ever heard the word “sex” as much as it was said in that one episode. And what’s with the counsoler trying to help the kid hook up with Amy just so he could get into her pants? I guess the show’s a bit exaggerated but it isn’t far from the truth. I enjoyed the first ep. but i won’t have access to a tv for the second one :(

i’m about to be a junior in high school and i mostly thought that the show was very similar to how high school really is.

Ok… I’m a little old to be watching this show, but I have teenage niece and I wanted to check it out to see what it was all about. It wasn’t really that long ago that I was in high school, but I know sex was a big issue, but I don’t remember it being talked about so much. Maybe because I went to a high school in the south and it was a little taboo to talk about. But I thought this show was a little corny and over done. You had to many extremes. The really religious girl, she was annoying… The girl spouting all the facts was also annoying. The Troubled, sex crazed teenage bad boy, who has sexually abuse by his father. It was just all a little over the top. I’ll continue to watch to see if it gets any better, but if it doesn’t I’ll drop it from my DVR and stick to Saved and Juno!!!!

did anyone else find the seth-cohen imitator highly annoying? just because he was such a sad, pathetic attempt to be all seth cohen-esque? it pissed me off a lot.

not nearly as good as gossip girl, but it’ll give me my teen drama fix for the summer.
i totally agree about the “seth cohen acting”…bothered me as soon as he started speaking.
