Congratulations to Barack Obama for garnering the support of that hard-to-reach uniformed-zombie voting bloc.
Am I the only one who misread this headline? And who thinks the original headline on the story, as it ran in Billboard, is not much clearer?

Obama is from Chicago. The dead always vote (I keed! I’m an Obama supporter)
That may be one of the best headlines I have EVER seen. I almost choked on my cereal!
Okay, I misread it too, even knowing it would be not quite as it seemed. LOL There’s no way you *can’t* misread it.
jcarla, I thought the same thing. “Dead voters? They must be from Chicago.”
I clicked through like ‘whaat?’ then ‘oohh, the GRATEFUL Dead…’
Per the Simpsons “Sideshow Bob Roberts” episode, the dead rise and vote Republican. Thus, Obama’s captured himself a formerly GOP leaning voter bloc…
You know there’s a joke in here somewhere about Oprah’s followers blindly supporting Obama becuase she endorsed him.
Well they are both kinda unclear. They should have just said Grateful Dead and been done with it. It’s not like there are space constraints on the Internet like there is in print.
I totally misread that one this morning as well. There’s no way someone didn’t word it that way on purpose. I know I would if it were part of my job. Hysterical.
Kind of reminded me of that ‘Masters of Horror’ episode where the dead veterans come back to life.
This looks like something youd see on “The Tonight Show.” The Billboard headline is a bit better, but still not that clear. Would it have been so hard to say “Grateful Dead Vets Ready to Rock for Obama”? Where was the editor on this one?
Yeah, it should have read: Obama gets some “Greatful” support from Lesh and Weir.
For giving me a good laugh.
To Stephanie T:
“Obama Greatful for Dead Support”
or how about
“Obama’s Dead Veteran Support Makes him Greatful”
Yeah, pretty much. Thanks EP. They were clearly Democrats anyway. I mean, they basically stated that “the republicians are throwing stones”.
