The Emmy’s are getting to be just as horrible as the Grammys.
Michael Emerson should and will win this year. Lost would be lost with out him. The Constant is the episode Lost is riding on for its Emmy nod, so it is being showcased. Hugh Laurie is fantastic and ought to be recognized.
I could forgive all the other snubs if only Michael K. Williams’ Omar was recognized for “The Wire.”
Robert Sean Leonard richly deserves a supporting nomination. But then, considering the fact that the constantly amazing, incredible Hugh Laurie has never won an Emmy, one can’t be too surprised. I used to avidly watch the Emmys each year, but as their idiocies have piled up, I no longer care. You know you’ve gone bad when the Foreign Press Awards do a better job than the Emmys. Bleah!
It’s a crying shame Robert Sean Leonard wasn’t nominated; he deserves some serious recognition for his truly outstanding and sadly overlooked work. Of course these are the same geniuses that have snubbed Hugh Laurie over and over again, so you can’t be too surprised that they’re ignoring Leonard. Oh well, nobody really takes the emmys all that seriously anymore anyway.
OMAR! OMAR! OMAR! OMAR!
I don’t really get Two and a Half Men. And I hate when one show stakes out an award for practically its entire run.
However, as much as I adore snubbed shows like BtVS, Veronica, and Gilmore Girls — Boston Legal is also an excellent show.
It is absurd. Touching. Topical. And hilarious. It has excellent writing. And James Spader’s delivery can be breathtaking.
Boston Legal is supposed to end its run in a year or two; this upcoming season is supposed to be its last. If it is, then there’s just two more Emmy ceremonies that it can qualify for.
So that’s good, right? :-/
Ian Cusick should take T.R Knight’s place on that list. Yunjin Kim’s snub is also egregious. But, if Michael Emerson doesn’t win and LOST doesn’t make the top 5, i will protest.
“Lost” Emmy Winner!
The best TV show ever!
Michael Emerson, Elizabeth Mitchell , Henry Lan Cusick, Mathew Fox and Evangeline Lily deserve Emmy !
I agree that Robert Sean Leonard should have been on the list for supporting actor. Really, the way they nominate only certain people year after year makes you totally not care about the show anymore. Another of my favorite actors finally got nominated once for Lead Actor but you could tell the voters didn’t take it seriously. This same actor has to work everyday with another person from their show that has been nominated for various awards and has won numerous time. Come on Hollywood! Spread the love!
