Glad to hear there’s another Friday Night Lights convert out there. I too discovered this show on DVD along with Flight of the Conchords, Big Love, The Shield, Dexter, 24, and the Office.
Battlestar Galactica. I am now a BSG geek. It’s really scary
Wonderfalls for me. It made me a big fan of Bryan Fuller’s quirky storytelling style and made me develop a crush on Lee Pace. So I was thrilled to see them both reunite with Pushing Daisies last season.
Bones!
So delicious.
30 ROCK!!! I rented season 1 because I was sooooo bored over Christmas break and thought what the heck?
It’s brilliant.
Roswell…i’d seen bits and i knew i liked it, i just didn’t realise i LOVED it.
Seinfeld also…too young and in the wrong country to have seen it air. One of my favourite shows now
MI-5. The British spy show is addictive and consistently excellent, but I never knew its charms before Netflix recommended it.
Brisco County Junior (How did I miss that??)
Started watching Bones and House last season in real time, then started tivoing them and switched to earlier seasons on DVD.
Firefly (*whimper* I miss you Mal and Jayne)
Highlander
And with my brand new Netflix subcription I spent my last weekend parked in front of the ‘puter watching Weeds season one and two. Totally addictive.
Seriously… All Hail Netflix.
OH! And thanks to all of you who mentioned Sports Night. Hubby never saw it and the brilliance must not be missed. Immediately added it to my Netflix queue!
Skins,
it’s an amazingly witty and quite random British teen drama.
West Wing-
my favorite American television-renaissance show.
24 – just before the 2nd season… and we haven’t missed it since.
Battlestar Galactica, which I resisted until 2 seasons were on dvd… and now I’m totally hooked.
Heroes… just finished season 1 last week. Now anxiously awaiting season 2 before 3 starts!
I don’t have a TV, so I discover everything online or through DVD.
Faves include:
Freaks and Geeks
Wonderfalls
Six Feet Under
Dexter
Weeds (I agree!)
Arrested Development (tops the list)
30 Rock
Big Love
