Ya know what I hate? When people use “light-year” as a measure of time. It measures DISTANCE! Please!
To Amy: The term “light year” ALSO refers to the TIME it takes for light from the sun to travel to the earth in a vacuum within one Julian calendar year. It is one of the few units of measure that covers both time and distance.
that’s incredibly false. The distance from the sun to the earth is an astronomical unit, which is about 8 and a half minutes away at the speed of light.
First, light year is a measure of distance, how far light in a vacuum travels in 1 year. More importantly. I would love the Final Cylon to someone not on BSG but known sci-fi/lore. e.g., Nathan Fillion’s Mal Reynolds or John Barrowman’s Captain Jack Harkness
