As EW.com’s box office analyst predicted, The Incredible Hulk‘s big win at the box office last weekend wasn’t a surprise, per se. But it sure was impressive. For a movie weighed down by oodles of bad buzz, that $55.4 mil opening must have been enough to turn all the naysayers, uh, green.
Those who will not be acquiring that hue, however, include most of the players in EW.com’s Summer Box Office Challenge, 72 percent of whom correctly projected that Edward Norton’s comic-book reimagining would finish in first place. (The winner of this round: "burningstar," who got a perfect score and called Hulk‘s gross almost exactly. Bravo!) Wanna get in on the fun — and have a chance to win some free DVDs? Just click on over to the game and register your predictions for this weekend’s box office top 10. A big battle is brewing between the comedies Get Smart and The Love Guru. Aw yeah, it’ll be a hoot.

Saw it – loved it (And I remember them filming the battle royale between Hulk and Abomination late last summer on Yonge St here in Toronto)
I think it was ridiculous that the two winners didn’t each get to claim the DVD prize, and that they decided it by “random drawing.” Why not give them both the DVD package?
Not gonna lie; with all the hype over ‘Iron man’, and how much good review that one got, it seems a prime time to release another superhero flick. Not that it was intended to go in this order, but it seems ideal. Riding off its tail wind, and all that.
Not to mention, I was on board the moment I heard that Tony Stark was going to be in the film at one point or another. But, granted, I’ll see anything with Edward Norton, and so will most of the world, so I’m not surprised.
The next question is can it keep going? Or is this all just first-week hype?
