According to reports, Michael Jackson headlining a longterm engagement at a Las Vegas casino is one of the many options being considered as a means for the King of Pop to repay a loan that saved Neverland Ranch. Assuming the voice and the moves are still there, this seems like a decent idea. I mean, there’s a chance that people vacationing in Sin City would be willing to put Jackson’s past behind them long enough to enjoy "Billie Jean." Right?
If not, I suggest they build a domed dance floor that would play his old videos and classic live performances, as if it were a standing-room only planetarium. They could charge $40, and we’d get to feel as though we were there at the Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever show (below) and in the "Thriller" video.

Call me overly crotchey and cynical, but I really can’t be bothered to help Michael Jackson pay for his lavish home. The guy got himself into the financial mess he’s in, he should have to get out of it. If I default on my student loan, can I have a Vegas concert to make up for it?

So I watched the video, and I’m thinking 2 things: “exactly why did I remember him as such a good dancer? He’s just a bundle of nervous tics.” and “wow they didn’t even TRY to mask that they were lip-synching back then. He’s signing to the ALBUM TRACK! Complete with fade-out at the end!”

This is a good idea for Michael to play at Vegas. It is after all the place hasbeens go when the carrer is in the dumps. I went to Vegas this past year and all the headliners were people like Jackson and stuff that did not interest me one bit.
It always has bothered me that this is considered such a seminal moment in his career, and he was 100 percent lip synching. Still bugs.
Wouldn’t go to his live show if given a free ticket. Would fly to Vegas solely to visit DANCE DOME!!!!
