When I said it makes me want to see the movie less, it wasn't because of the falling car. It's because now it just looks like every other CGI "action" movie. The trailers make it look cooler. Things like having to see the glass break out of the windows as it hits the cliff - why? And why have the emergency break on the train if the train can't handle stopping quickly without falling off the track? I was more impressed with "curve the bullet."

The 'innocent people as collateral damage' thing is actually a major theme in the graphic novel. From all the trailers I saw, the movie takes to it with relish. Not everyone's thing I suppose, but certainly not random.

It's a fntasy. give me a friggin break. It's a comic book, alternate reality. Doesn't bother me one bit and will be first in line to see this.
It's a fantasy. Even children know the difference.

Have to agree with Jennifer, Mac Evoy, Kisha and Julie. I have begun to like my action w/o so much :colatteral damage". How about an old fashioned movie where the only ones to die are those directly related to the fight? Really unnecessary to drop an entire train care of people off a cliff to make a point. I think I'll go see Wall-E that weekend and save this for DVD like Jumper. Sad, too, because it looked very cool when I first saw the trailer last year.
