Tim made me feel balanced and informed in the world of news.He was warm,intelligent, caring and compassionate. The best ones seem to leave so very early. We will miss his smile and his tenacity. May his family find some solace knowing we pray and mourn his passing.

I am shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Tim Russert. He was well-informed and educated and seemed to really enjoy his vocation and adored his family, particularly his wife Maureen and his adored son Luke. Mr. Russert’s death was very similar to John Ritter’s…their perpetually red faces led to me to think that their hearts were working overtime. Hopefully their early deaths will be a wake-up call to all of their fans.

Tim Russert was a great man who loved his family, his faith, his hometown, journalism and politics. If you choose to believe that the hundreds of heartfelt tributes he’s received are insincere posturing, then what can I say? I just feel sorry for you.

It is also too bad that the majority of them sold out and have become corporate hacks. How long is the shelf life for integrity? Yes it’s nice that so-called journalists circle the wagons to make nice-nice; it’s posturing and is mostly void of sincerety. They’re milking the poor man for their own smarmy agendas.
