wow, i’m surprised by the positive spin here. i was just thinking that the only thing lamer than this volvo driving soccer mom soundtrack is this ginned up fake rivalry marketing campaign.

I liked it better when it was David Cross and Janeane Garofalo as the fake directors for Superchunk’s “Water Hands” video.

Chicago X 12 is probably my favorite song of the year. The beginning chords pull you right in, and the main hook “No one comes out to see us” is mesmerizing.

I haven’t seen any of Rogue Wave’s music videos but can I tell you how much I enjoy their music. Asleep At Heaven’s Gate is fantastic and does not get enough airplay. Out Of The Shadow is another favorite. They’re one of those bands where I’m glad they’re still kind of small and I can see them live in more intimate venues but I like them so much that I hope they will be successful and blow up. And when they do, at least I can say, “I saw them when…”
