When we file our blog posts on Typepad, the site that houses PopWatch, we see a list of the five most recent comments posted anywhere on the blog. This week, I kept seeing an April 2007 item of mine popping up: "Jeremy Northam, why aren’t you a bigger star?" I finally decided to check it out, and it appears a few of his biggest fans have been using it as their own personal Northam-devoted message board. LOVE IT.
Any other hidden communities on PopWatch that we should be aware of?
Jeremy Northam fans, we see you!

I absolutely adore him. It helps that he played possibly my favorite Austen hero. But seriously – why isn’t he more famous? Him and James Purefoy… I heart Colin Firth as much as the next Regency period loving gal, but these other boys deserve the extensive love as well.
The other week when Mandi asked a question about Supernatural, the post instantly became a hive of Supernatural fan activity–I wasn’t counting, but there were probably over fifty comments within a half hour or so.
Also worth mentioning on the other side of the spectrum–the Great Archuleta Thread Hijacking of ‘08, which happened in first video interview with David Archuleta, if I remember right. There were probably over 200 comments on that one by the end of the day.
Love Jeremy Northam. He was amazing on the Tudors. Hope to see him in something soon.
You do remember DOLL, right? The Dirty Old Ladies League – a group of forty-somethings with an unhealthy fixation on Daniel Radcliffe? I believe you kick-started that with one of your “Inappropriate Crush” posts and they’re currently pre-ordering NYC Equus tickets!
just pure hotness
If you love Jeremy Northam on The Tudors, you should watch the blooper reel from the DVD. He is hilarious on it. Maybe it’s just because Thomas Moore is such a serious character, but his bloopers were the best.
Wasn’t there also an inappropriate crush post on Zac Efron as well that had good response?
Cara beat me to it – I was going to say the 1st Archuleta interview thread. The most entertaining few days ever…
Sign me up for the Jeremy Northam fan club. I want the t-shirt, too. From Happy Texas to Gosford Park to that bizarre Martin and Lewis TV movie, he always impresses. And in Emma, despite the sexist/sappiness–he always makes me cry at the end.
Jeremy Northam – yum. I even wanted him when his character was talking about burning people alive.

I know I leave these e-mail addresses in very capable hands!
Hi Mandi,
Hello from your old blog! Thank you for providing the space for us!

Another lovin’ Jeremy fan

Thanks for the shout-out, Mandi Bierly. And a big thanks for all the JN coverage at EW.com. Lovely photo of JN, btw.
Dear friends of JN. If you know anyone who is on BAFTA’s voting commettee, please advise them to nominate Jeremy Northam for his brilliant portrayal of Sir Thomas More. The justice needs to be restored after he has NOT been nominated for Emmy.
Hey! What’s with the spam from that nursing “site”??? Can anyone remove all those fake postings? The sites are not valid, anyway. Can Mandi do anything? And thanks BTW for this page on which to chat…D. Earle in early June posted contacts to the Emmys (he should have been nominated), Golden Globes and SAG Awards so let me repost them here and encourage anyone to contact and urge for his nomination as Sir Thomas More in Season 2 Tudors: Golden Globes, and SAGs may e-mail the respective sites at the following:
mrussell@michaelrussellgroup.com
saginfo@sag.org
And let’s not forget Dean Spanley premieres at the Toronto FF in September, this September!
The nursing spam is just from some Jn fans(?) yes fans who just want to cause turmoil on all his sites…they’re bored ….ignore them.

For those who wish to see Northam honored with a BAFTA Award, you may contact: INFO@BAFTA.ORG
Americans who have the BBC America channel may watch the BAFTA ceremonies when they air early next year.
In the meantime, let’s at least see that he is honored in his own country for his fabulous work in “The Tudors”.
Thank you so much for the info on BBC America airing the BAFTA awards. I just read over at IMDb that “Fiona”s Story” will air here in the states on BBC America as well. Hooray for BBC America!
You’re very welcome, Michelle!
Jeremy Northam is a fabulously talented actor, I could watch him all day long and ll night too! I’d love to see his Henry Higgins, he would do an excellent job, he has all the skills required. Keeping everything crossed….
bwlass, I keep seeing your posts all over the place regarding the sublime Mr Northam: good for you for keeping the flame!
Bwlass is indispensable!
We won the Higgins contest, they MUST take it into account!
By the way, have you seen new JN interview related to the Fiona’s story (the link is in the main Popwatch page)? Very interesting, and the first ever chaperoned by his publicist!
