When we file our blog posts on Typepad, the site that houses PopWatch, we see a list of the five most recent comments posted anywhere on the blog. This week, I kept seeing an April 2007 item of mine popping up: "Jeremy Northam, why aren’t you a bigger star?" I finally decided to check it out, and it appears a few of his biggest fans have been using it as their own personal Northam-devoted message board. LOVE IT.
Any other hidden communities on PopWatch that we should be aware of?

I absolutely adore him. It helps that he played possibly my favorite Austen hero. But seriously – why isn’t he more famous? Him and James Purefoy… I heart Colin Firth as much as the next Regency period loving gal, but these other boys deserve the extensive love as well.
The other week when Mandi asked a question about Supernatural, the post instantly became a hive of Supernatural fan activity–I wasn’t counting, but there were probably over fifty comments within a half hour or so.
Also worth mentioning on the other side of the spectrum–the Great Archuleta Thread Hijacking of ’08, which happened in first video interview with David Archuleta, if I remember right. There were probably over 200 comments on that one by the end of the day.
Love Jeremy Northam. He was amazing on the Tudors. Hope to see him in something soon.
You do remember DOLL, right? The Dirty Old Ladies League – a group of forty-somethings with an unhealthy fixation on Daniel Radcliffe? I believe you kick-started that with one of your “Inappropriate Crush” posts and they’re currently pre-ordering NYC Equus tickets!
just pure hotness
If you love Jeremy Northam on The Tudors, you should watch the blooper reel from the DVD. He is hilarious on it. Maybe it’s just because Thomas Moore is such a serious character, but his bloopers were the best.
Wasn’t there also an inappropriate crush post on Zac Efron as well that had good response?
Cara beat me to it – I was going to say the 1st Archuleta interview thread. The most entertaining few days ever…
Sign me up for the Jeremy Northam fan club. I want the t-shirt, too. From Happy Texas to Gosford Park to that bizarre Martin and Lewis TV movie, he always impresses. And in Emma, despite the sexist/sappiness–he always makes me cry at the end.
Jeremy Northam – yum. I even wanted him when his character was talking about burning people alive.
