I saw the Zohan this morning – 12:01 show, it rocked! I mean, it you want to see quality film making, go see something else… but if you want to laugh and see some seriously silly stuff… You must see the Zohan.

Sandler should thank Mel Gibson, without this so called pronged attack on him, his movie won’t be even mentioned in local newspapers. Now let’s be clear,Gibson is a talented actor, director and producer, which Sandler will never be. And more, Sandler should read more about his own religion, there’s somewhere the word “forgive”…… Using his movie to attack Gibson, and trying to make money, is cowardice. It’s not funny and not intelligent.
Why do I always hear so many people saying something like “Oh I know this movie won’t be good, but maybe I’ll go see it anyway for [whatever reason].” People like that are the reason Hollywood puts out so much junk. Plus, do you really have nothing else better to do with your time? Read a book or go for a bike ride or something!
Don’t see it. Please don’t see it. I’m still fuming over the fact that I wasted a coupon on it. The few funnies I got out of it didn’t match up to Billy Madison, or Waterboy, or even Happy Gilmore.
I loved this movie. I haven’t laughed so hard at a movie in ages. This is the funniest since Happy Gilmore, and Billy Maddison. I don’t care who he was making fun of I laughed at all of it. If you are extremely sensitive and a prude, don’t go see it. The Mel Gibson comment didn’t phase me one bit. I loved all the scenes in the salon with the older women the best. Too damn funny. I just laugh looking at Adam Sandler. The only movie he has that I didn’t like was Little Niki. That was boring.

How hilarious that so many people are defending Mel Gibson. He’s behaved very badly (more than once), and we don’t have to like him if we don’t want to. I don’t come on here and castigate people for not liking the same stars I like, because we’re all free to like or dislike whatever stars we want. Lighten up and get a life.
The comparisons to Lindsay Lohan are also absurd. She hasn’t done the same things Gibson has done, PLUS she’s still quite young. Gibson is old enough to know better.
I can’t believe I’m defending Simon, whose blog posts usually annoy me. But I think someone at EW should do a “I saw this, so you don’t have to” blog on “Zohan.”
Also, I’d love to know how disliking Mel Gibson makes someone a “bigot.” Someone needs to consult their dictionary.
Zohan is a pretty cheasy film made without much thought. It does show how jews are powerful liberals while arabs are still cavemen with very prejudiced and racist remarks. It looses the plot when sandler posing to be a good hairdresser turns out to be only good for the humping he provides. Arabs with beard are labelled as terrorists while jews are not, mel gibson is slandered in a childish and shameless manner. I dont understand why mel gibson is treated this way just because of a drunk comment. We all know how to react to such people. What if he had said something about muslims will you be doing the same to him. NO. Sandler is jewish and so he took it upon himself to malign or get even with MEL although i think mel gibson is a better actor and has given us so much over the years. Sandler has dumped himself to all time low on this one.

I have to say that I didn’t care to watch this movie but my hub rented it. The first hour or so was pretty much what I expected… juvenile and tasteless, but oddly, I started enjoying it for the cameos and for the Middle Eastern humor. Afterwards I spent another two hours watching the Special Features. Nuts! I have to admit that despite the disgusting sex stuff and butts, I enjoyed this silly movie. (Note.. I’m over 50).
