I walked past this in the movie theater last week, and stopped in my tracks to stare at it. Then I just started saying “no, no, no, no, no….” I like some Adam Sandler movies, but this poster is just… gah…. ugh… huh. Wow. Wrong, I guess is the word I’m looking for.

I refuse to see the movie primarily because Sandler in no way sounds Israeli, and as someone who has spent a significant amount of time in Israel, I find it irritating that he can’t even try for the right accent (he sounds French in the promos…and actually, Israeli accents are pretty hilarious in their own right).

Of course, I can’t stand Adam Sandler, so anything he’s in has a long road to go for me to have even minimal interest in seeing it – and when the plot / main character look to be so completely ridiculous, I just hope there’ll be some good parody and mocking of it all around.

G) PopWatch, it’s an ADAM SANDLER MOVIE. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore? The same guy who helped out on the Benchwarmers AND Deuce Bigalow? Does this kind of thing really surprise you at this point? He made ‘You ain’t cool unless you pee your pants!’ a well-known quote, for god’s sake. The reason why people know that quote is because they said WTF, left their pretentious bullcrap at the door and laughed at the ridiculousness of it all. He’s obviously not trying to be a major contender for the Oscar season. He’s trying to make us laugh, so just let him. If you don’t wanna see it, don’t watch it.

If your so smart (smart enough to just dismiss something as trash) then you should be smart enough to realise its just a movie. No one is forcing you to see it. So why do you feel the need to belittle people who would enjoy the movie.
