Well, I know why I love Zoe…
And it’s painfully evident why Wash loves Zoe. But why do you love Zoe?

I love Zoe because she’s loyal to her husband first, her captain second, her crew third. She’s tough as nails, yet still feminine. Yeah, she can shoot a guy right between the eyes, but she’ll ask her husband for a baby in the same episode.
Zoe also gives me faith that even in the future there’ll be cute Latinas worth ogling over.
Finally, I love me some Zoe because the actress who plays her married Larry Fishburn. If Morpheus chose her, she’s got to be “the One”.
I still say they should have picked her to play Wonder Woman, as ginormous woman with her gravitas would have been perfect for that role.
I love Zoe because of her loyalty. She’s one strong badas*!
Because she’s a warrior woman. We even named our bunny after her.

I love Zoe because of how she delivers the line “fight with him sometimes, too.” Of my many favorite Firefly moments, that one may be my VERY favorite.
*at Ep Sato* I still think think they should have picked her to play Storm in X-Men. Hallie Berry who? That STILL pisses me of.
I always end up watching the full episode. Should’ve extended the clip to Jayne staring down the officer!
Also, ohgodohgodohgodreavers.
FireflyBebop- I concur 100%. Either Gina Torres or Angela Bassett would have rocked that role. Gina’s stature makes her already seem like a goddess. As for Angela, I’ve had a schoolboy crush on her since, um, my school days.
Yay for Firefly Fridays! I love Zoe because she loves Wash. Everyone wonders why she would end up with him, but she doesn’t care. She disobeyed Mal’s order not to marry him, and regardless of how different they are, she loves him with her whole heart. Any doubts would be washed away in the end of the movie.
Oh man. Cue Wash for some great comedy right after Zoe’s “we’re real private people” speech.
I love Zoe because she’s straightforward, and hillarious doing it. She knows who she is, and she doesn’t let anybody (even Mal, sometimes!) tell her different. Plus, she is really handy with the whole “shoot evil stuff” thing.
I love Zoe and Wash. I loved their relationship so much because it was perhaps the best depiction of a realistic relationship I’ve ever seen on TV. Yes they would disagree at times but they worked or talk their way through it and never seemed to forget how much they loved each other even on the occasions when they were at odds. It was just such a good relationship that wasn’t corny perfect or stupidly based on one character treating the other like crud but STILL they love each other (Sawyer/Kate – McDreamy/Skeletor). No, Zoe and Wash were very balanced with a lot of give and take between the two and it was played marvelously by Torrez and Tudyk. I’ve yet to see another TV relationship that is done better. (Alison/Joe on Medium are the closest contenders I think. Good relationship well portrayed.) Anyway, keep up the Firefly Fridays! I love’em what a fine show.
