Ah, good times. A lot can happen in a night- I mean, day.
By the way, why are their caps set so far back on their heads? Are they being kept in place with hairpins? That’s not regulation.
That was fun—I remember seeing that movie on tv when I was a kid while visiting my aunt and uncle in the Bronx. I’m sure I drove my mom crazy by singing the New York, New York refrain all the time.
Can’t help but love On the Town. Its one of the first movies I can remember watching and its the reason I had a crush on Gene Kelly as a kid.

Jill, I work in Manhattan and I can tell you that while there aren’t sailors everywhere like in SATC, sometimes you can see whole groups of like 20 sailors walking along a street. Most of the time you just see 1 or 2 every once and awhile especially if you are near the ships. But they are everywhere, you usually can’t miss em! And that’s a good thing.

While I definitely thought of that SATC episode with all of those dirty sailors once I saw this headline- duh, Gene Kelly! Definitely the best butt ever in the biz. BTW, Anchors Aweigh and On the Town are going to be on TCM in the next couple of days!
