It is an open secret — which is to say not really a secret at all — that I am obsessed with American Idol‘s Aloha Mischeaux. So when I discovered several hot new tracks on the season 4 semifinalist’s MySpace page earlier this spring, it wasn’t long before I extended an invite for her to swing by the EW.com cubicles for a very special episode of Idolatry. The results are embedded below, and let’s just say Aloha turned the hallway outside my office into a raucous concert space. Someone sign this woman to a record deal already! Seriously!

oohhh love her! she should’ve been in the top 12 that season. won’t win against carrie but she would’ve injected some fun into the finals!
Cute song, very nice ear candy. I’m impressed that she’s writing her own songs now, but she obviously wants it and is willing to work for it. Good for her!
Crikey! I actually thought this was a spoof! Ack, weird.
No kidding, but I’ve watched every season of Idol except season 1, and I’ve never, ever heard of this person…
Totally agree she was kicked off before her time. I remember her as being one of the stronger contestants, and was kind of mystified why she got booted before the top 12. Aloha was fun!
You are so right Aloha is a great talent. A few years before her Idol days she actually sang at my wedding. To bad my ex-wife took the video of the wedding we we spllit. I hope Aloha makes it big. I would love to see some one from St. Louis make it big.
I miss her. She just had so much *fun* when she sang, and she was one of the first with a current sound.
That was surprisingly good. She turned it out!
It needs a little bit of production work, but this song’s pretty good!
Attempting to place a vote for David Archuleta last night, I was connected to a recording offering the number of an escort service. I checked the number, redialed several times, and got the same result again and again.
Seriously – if you’re going to start the Idolatry Tour of offices, I’m putting mine up for the Cleveland Stop. That was nuts, in a good way!
She’s cute, fun, way better than Syesha. I hope that someone big sees this video and offers to help her out in some way. She could be the next Rihanna, but better!
Oh my goodness, Slezak. That was horrible. I can’t believe you think she can sing. She might be nice to look at but she has no singing talent. It’s no wonder she didn’t go anywhere. Now maybe her writing can go somewhere but definitely not her voice. You’ve got this one wrong…
You don’t have to be so harsh & mean. If it wasn’t for people supporting you. You would not be anywhere. So you should keep the disrespectful comments to yourself. If you don.t have anything nice to say. Don’t say it at ALL!!!
Wow! Where has she been hiding? Great stuff!
Wow!!! I am relatively new to idol but I can’t believe I have never heard of her! Wow! If she can sing like that in the cubicles, imagine what she could do in a real studio! Bravo!
